Im an INTP, and would say Im pretty developed at 26. "When does an INTP start learning about himself and completely know who they are, for the average INTP is it when they are in their 30s or 40s or is that the time they start using concrete labels, like "I am an architect" to identify who they are?" I think identity largely comes through self-reflection and self-reflection largely comes from more experiences. Overthinking or analysis by paralysis is common, so once one goes out into the world, an INTP will find how their analytical mind can be used as a benefit to the lives of others. From my experience, I have always had one foot in and one foot out in groups and social settings. I always liked to be detatched and observing situations in order to properly build a Ti frame around things and understand the implied missing pieces of those frameworks.
I honestly haven't been in a relationship for a couple years. I think having an analytical mind and being naturally very curious about people (which is something I have), just helps me a lot with relationships with women. I think my biggest advantage is just being hyper curious and asking a lot of questions and being very sensitive to responses (which may be Fe or something) so I know how to act appropriately in different situations to get the responses Im looking for
What if the more you try to analyze yourself the more you can't pin down to one, you are not one constant thing you are always capable of change, one moment I feel like one type the other I feel like an entirely different person. It seems like I have identity problem, the only thing I'm certain about me is my uncertainty.

You said in another video that we should look for the tertiary through what people find funny. Socionics says that we find funny things that are related to our ego or dominant and auxliary functions. what's up with that?
ENTJ doesnt know who they are and what they value??? I have no idea what you mean by that. I do understand the Control vs. gathering. I am an ENTJ married to an INTP.
And it doesn't mean it's hard for ENTJs to know what they like and I think it's because they can trust their intuition when it comes to knowing their values. I think Dave made a video about this that explains why ENTJs can struggle with low confidence. Well it's also a thing for all lead deciders, looking for answer about self from others, and that's why you could feel insecure about own stregths and doubt if your a likeable person, and because of that start unnessecary arguments with others. I don't know if I'm good at explaining things but I hope this is somewhat useful.
What you think you value are things that you think works for everyone. Discount that, and you have less clarity about what you want to feel when you're alone.
I'm an entj woman. Ill be 37 in a few months. I'm to the point in my life , I really don't give a shit who I am. I'm a go getter. All that time wasted in my younger years with that drama. Imagine where I'd be today. Lol
IMO, i don't think so. When delving further into the cognitive functions, i found my dominant and inferior the easiest to find out. It was the auxiliary and tertiary that i was confused about. I needed assistance on that. I say, introspect and research. Then get assistance. Don't take tests though. Easy way to fuck things up.
Isn't Big5 the predecessor of HEXACO? I took the test (the free one) and even if it gives you more clarity it is also vague if you want to have a wider perspective of your personality.
Because we have the unfortunate experience of pissing off alot of people with our honest, blunt talk, at some point, we want to make amends and have people understand us and like us. So we learn to be more tactful, less judgmental of other's shortcomings. We start to realize that most people do not want our unsolicited comments or advice. We learn to phrase things differently and we learn to work on our patience. Not everyone gets concepts as quickly as we do and they come to their own understanding of things in a different way. Once we get that, things gets easier. And we learn to be less hard on ourselves as well, which ultimately helps us with others. When they can see our humanity, see that we do can emote feelings of sadness etc, they feel differently about us and it builds bridges.
+DaveSuperPowers INTP here. I don't know who I am. I'm still searching for how I can apply this massive amount of overthinking to the real world. INTPs are notorious for jumping into something quickly only to lose interest later - perfect recipe for identity confusion. We're just like ENTJs unless we get more balanced.
I'm INTP too and don't know who I am in this sense. I can give reasons for action, but I don't feel convinced at all. All my choices are more like best of a bad bunch rather than confidently knowing what I want to do.
You know who you are, but you don't understand your self, that's the thing. We like to look for patterns, investigate and compare, but we rarely have experience with things that can reflect us so we can't really understand ourselves all the time. But that doesn't mean you don't know who you are.
well I call it as peacocking (term given by this channel itself). The way dave explained that "if u ask an INTP if they value tribe & they'll say YES, more than anyone!!" that's peacocking! similarly ENTJ will be like, "I don't like people, I only care about me and myself, I don't live for people, (giving advices on how not to pay attention to what people say and believe in yourself)" these all are ENTJs (i.e, extroverted decider (de)) peacocking! peacocking is like what is a person's fear and how he/she is acting it out just to manipulate themselves and surroundings, about being a hero over their demon! trying to convince one that my demon is not my demon but my hero! and saviour doesn't need to be shown off! They are always their and you don't need to highlight them just like handling demons! and the thing some replies are saying here, is more of a stereotypical INTPs! well idk If Dave's theory is correct or not but while typing yourself from his theory people shouldn't mix stereotypical mbti (pretty cute cartoons of 16p) with objective personality channels content! idk which one is accurate but till now I found his content more reasonable rather than mbti's high rated intuitive theory!
I honestly don't see the trouble in telling an INTP apart from an ENTJ. The two are nothing alike. They have literally zero functions in common and their way of living life and handling data is entirely different. Their general assertiveness is also worlds apart. INTPs are nerdy theoretical physicist types. ENTJs are brash business executive types. ENTJs are all about getting their vision created pragmatically in the real world. They want results and will criticize you if you're not as busy as they want you to be. INTPs will spend countless hours researching obscure facts and formulas, learning mountains of conceptual musings just for the sake of learning it.
I think because he's trying to help open up space for people in typing. Most people seem to mistype others (including myself), so opening up space for understanding rather than quick judgement is really important (seeking clarity as much as possible before putting the stake in the ground in general).
Recon.777 Your perception is wrong and completely one dimensional and sounds exactly like what the general public who knows little about mbti would say.
Im an INTP and my business partner is an ENTJ. While what he said may not be causal, I have personally found it to be extremely true and relevant. Not only in my own experiences but also with other INTPs and ENTJs I have spoken with
Is there anyway to change my personality from INTP to ENTJ ? Intp sticks so well and I hate it because I am always thinking never acting. Please help how can I change the P into a J I to E is little bit more easy I already trying and Depends on my mood I can get ENTP (so Yeah Iam changing my I into an E)
Hey so I've been battling with this as well. I'm in my late 20's so it's something that I've been thinking about a lot. I'm an INTP through and through, to the point where I ruminate on my weaknesses and try to develop them and compensate to be a more well rounded human being. The idea is that you "shift" your thinking into the opposite end of the spectrum. Some people argue whether it's a spectrum or a binary system (the jury is still out for me). But I can tell you things that shift me into executive thinking: deadlines. Living externally. Go out and hike, plan things, do them no matter what (if weather permits). Even if it's going to grab a cup of coffee every morning. Do things that take you out of your comfort zone of introverted thinking. Also another thing I might add, I noticed a shift in my thinking from Ti to Ne in my early 20's so it may be that you're starting to develop your Ne more. This is probably why you're confusing yourself as an ENTP. Trust it, nurture it, learn to wield it and try not to suppress it because it will manifest itself as a sort of "novelty seeking" function.
"Shifting types" isn’t really that simple. Cognition is something we’re born with, since it’s about how our brains are wired. Rewiring it would take extreme amounts of effort since you’re pretty much forcing your brain to work in a way that’s not natural for it. Best advice I can give is pretty much the same as what the guy above me said, just be more active, set deadlines, and have less idle time. It’s not gonna change your type, but it’s gonna make you more proactive at least. PS. Simply "becoming more extroverted" doesn’t make you change from INTP to ENTP, as they have fundamentally different ways of thinking and perceiving. It’s not a simple "introvert/extrovert switch". This principle is the same regarding the "judging/perceiving switch", which is even more unlikely as INTPs and INTJs don’t even share a single function at all.
In case you are interested look at CS Joseph’s videos on the four sides of the mind. The ENTJ and INTP have each others unconscious, so ENTJ has INTP unconscious and vice versa. When you unlock it, you unlock that side of the mind.
Ok I am getting close to understand almost all I need on Typology but isn't your statement at 1:10-1:18 a bit over the edge? I mean how on Earth is an INTP extreeemely extraverted? It sounds like an unhealthy creepy-ass INTP or even completely impossible to exist. Same goes for the "extremely" introverted ENTJ. I mean I can understand that Myers-Briggs is a beginner's guide to actual typing but even back when I only knew MBTI basics, I haven't mistyped more than 1 in every 10 people (or something) and I still haven't found a (generally) non-talkative Exxx or a very loud Ixxx. I mean come on let us not get TOO far from the beginner's knowledge because that is what happened to me when I learned german. Ever since I became able to have deep discussions in german I forgot kitchen and house equipment haha! Greetings from Greece (INFJ)
That's bias to assume INTPs don't care about people by "tracking" hours spent on them. We are literally trying to offer concepts, inventions, and perspectives that we notice as easily as your regular person can determine the difference black and white. We are trying to figure out a way to SELL this idea. That's 100% effort on the tribe. But it is 100% our way.

Well it's also a thing for all lead deciders, looking for answer about self from others, and that's why you could feel insecure about own stregths and doubt if your a likeable person, and because of that start unnessecary arguments with others. I don't know if I'm good at explaining things but I hope this is somewhat useful.
Also you should defiently watch this ruclips.net/video/hzsWef86FgA/видео.html
What you think you value are things that you think works for everyone. Discount that, and you have less clarity about what you want to feel when you're alone.
I'm an entj woman. Ill be 37 in a few months. I'm to the point in my life , I really don't give a shit who I am. I'm a go getter. All that time wasted in my younger years with that drama. Imagine where I'd be today. Lol
But that thinking is precisely because you don't value it/get the import of.
If you did... you'd be doing it. Duh. 😀
Any advice on typing yourself? Should you even do such a thing?
IMO, i don't think so. When delving further into the cognitive functions, i found my dominant and inferior the easiest to find out. It was the auxiliary and tertiary that i was confused about. I needed assistance on that.
I say, introspect and research. Then get assistance. Don't take tests though. Easy way to fuck things up.
I always tested as intp. But it felt off. Big5 personality test might offer some clarity
Isn't Big5 the predecessor of HEXACO? I took the test (the free one) and even if it gives you more clarity it is also vague if you want to have a wider perspective of your personality.
Let Mortal Kombat begin
I know who am i but the tribe will not going to follow me wht should i do ? iam late 20 plz how should devlop other parts?
hey , what is person 3 Ne Fe means ?
Yet I still don't know if I'm entj or intp.i must be entj because I still don't know who I am.
Nah, you're ESFP.
At what age does the ENTJ start working on their identity?
whenever they want
_SebaS_ good comment. Growth isn't handicapped by type.
Infancy, in my opinion. I’ve known myself from a very young age.
I would say, that for me, it was in my early forties that i really went searching for what was really important for me.
I don't want to sound inapposite, but can you give me all those graphic representations of the types? They are extremely well made.
Thank you
For a solid second i thought im extrovert
And im ENTJ for a second and i was scared like whaaaaaaaaat XD
well I call it as peacocking (term given by this channel itself).
The way dave explained that "if u ask an INTP if they value tribe & they'll say YES, more than anyone!!" that's peacocking!
similarly ENTJ will be like, "I don't like people, I only care about me and myself, I don't live for people, (giving advices on how not to pay attention to what people say and believe in yourself)"
these all are ENTJs (i.e, extroverted decider (de)) peacocking!
peacocking is like what is a person's fear and how he/she is acting it out just to manipulate themselves and surroundings, about being a hero over their demon! trying to convince one that my demon is not my demon but my hero!
and saviour doesn't need to be shown off! They are always their and you don't need to highlight them just like handling demons!
and the thing some replies are saying here, is more of a stereotypical INTPs!
well idk If Dave's theory is correct or not but while typing yourself from his theory people shouldn't mix stereotypical mbti (pretty cute cartoons of 16p) with objective personality channels content! idk which one is accurate but till now I found his content more reasonable rather than mbti's high rated intuitive theory!
tbh shoulda done a update on ISTP vs INTP with the subtypes
Well, this video just made me doubt my type for the 3468426th time 😂😂😂😂
then you are probably entp xD
😮 close, I'm INTP. Or so I believe 😂
When he's talking about the savior, is he referring to the second function or the third?
I believe savior is the first, but sometimes he refers to the second, too. There's a video of him named Saviors vs. Demons, should help you a lot
You are completely correct (Im an INTP and my biz partner is an ENTJ)
Yeah, I don't see why he's making them out to be so hard to tell apart.
Please help how can I change the P into a J
I to E is little bit more easy I already trying and Depends on my mood I can get ENTP (so Yeah Iam changing my I into an E)
You can have a lead extroverted function, but don't necessarily have to be a social butterfly. And visa versa.
You are one. You're not a king in the 15th century, too. Dump the "we".
Hm, not so authoritative-sounding now, with "I"? Well, that's why you're doing it!
Learn to speak for yourself, Mr ``literally''.
Don't tell me what's my way. 100% or otherwise.
I think NTPs might think about what is and ask why, while NTJs might think about what might be and ask why not
BRUH NO
ARE YOU TELLING ME IM EXTROVERT ????
IM AN ENTJ ?????
WHAT THE HELLLLL
1:51
Me and my husband 😊
um.. they're very different. Not hard at all to tell these two apart. Ever.
If you can't tell the difference between a fucking intp and entj, you're not mbti-ing correctly. These types even in their most balanced forms, are always distinguishable. - Someone who is close to multiples of both categories
Can you talk slower?
As an INTP, your attitude and language makes it impossible to follow along with what you're trying to say... actually, I have no interest in what you have to say with those two blemishes.
