  • Speed, safety, quality and a perfect design. This is the Stream.
    A super-fast fighter jet? After you climb into the Stream, you’ll experience the same feelings as military pilots. Seats placed behind each other and the well-thought-out shape of the aircraft. The most modern glass cockpit and the maximum amount of control elements on the sidestick. A perfect design, aerodynamically clean, with precise control. A robust retractable landing gear and a ROTAX 912UILS engine with a PowerMax propeller mean just one thing: safety, high speeds and an unbelievable flying experience! The Stream is the future. The Stream is setting the trends for ultra-light flying.

    Please consider a Rotax 915 for the US market. With a turbo charged engine around the power output of the 915 the stream may be capable of 200 knots (370 kph) cruise speed at higher altitudes. That kind of performance is very expensive, not only in procurement cost but also operating costs. Comparable aircraft with similar performance (200+ knot cruise) currently use large engines and many have high landing speeds. You guys have a great design that could have a niche in the US with a bigger engine.

      No, this is in fact an ultralight aircraft. Remember that US regulations are very different than from the rest of the world. Microlight aircraft (sometimes incorrectly named "ultralight") are basically powered hang-gliders with a very tight restriction regarding power, speed and range. In the US, LSA is the closest approximation to the European ultralight category. Ultralights are usually somewhat lighter than LSA, but without any upper restriction for speed or range, so some ultralights have a Vne at 170 kts and an operative range of a thousand km or more.

    Definate similarities to the Blackshape Prime and Shark, but that is ok. They are both great airplanes!! This airplane will not qualify as LSA in the US because of the retractable gear, but could be flown as an Experimental. TL Ultralight has always produced affordable planes, such as the Sting series of aircraft. Hopefully this plane will be available in the US for less than $130,000 U.S. Dollars.

      Curts Review what price to you expect on this? About €60.000.- to 80.000.-??? Something like that??? Did you understand the development costs, the top technology of the plane? You can buy a C42 if you do not want to spend that much money. People and of course pilots will buy this plane, as well pilots buy C42, Tecnams, FKs and what so ever. Its like in the car business, you can buy a Smart or a Mercedes, both are well in the market. If you think it is too expensive, do not buy it. Some other guy will think, woow nice, I can afford it and I will buy it. But please stay realistic in your options. The Stream will not run TL out of business. The company is strong and perfect in business. Let everybody enjoy their personal dreams.

      Realis Immobilien Management & Service --I totally understand market living in Florida!
      Remember if a guy does a job and buys million dollars worth of equipment to do a $100k job he can’t expect to raise price for development n research for the job, if he wants more customers he will keep the price at cost plus 30-40% until he has more customers and proven record. You can’t charge for research etc that’s part of building your product n reputation, and u can’t charged based on market of PROVEN COMPANIES THAT HAVE A GREAT BALANCE SHEET, if so you will likely not survive, I think getting more customers is more important at first than trying to charge the most, that’s just me. Keep in mind FAA is going to change weight limits or useful load!
      I love your airplane !!!!!
      I just hate to see the people who brought it to market not survive!
      I also know from experience yes you will sell no matter what to RICH POCKETS because they always have money, and will spend no matter what!!!!!
      Think in terms of middle class to upper not upper to middle, my thoughts.
      Wish luck

    Isn't "TL-Ultralight" the name of the company (not a type designation)?

    • @ltjake0169
      @ltjake0169 3 года назад

      There's no way it categorized as an ultralight. I believe an ultralight power limit is capped at 25 or 35 hp.. it wouldn't be going over 200 knots if that were the case

    This plane weighs over 650 pounds empty, so you will still need a license to fly it (unlike ultralights under 254 pounds). I have no idea how much this costs (very hard to find, even on their website), but a used one from 2010 was $72000US. So, I'm guessing well over 100 grand new.

    Very charming plane, but in no way an Ultralight or LSA, in the US at least, per federal regulations. Max gross takeoff weight 1320lbs. Or 1430lbs. for seaplanes is only one aspect regulating the LSA designation. (Top speed 120 knots, max stall speed 45 knots) the others. WAY to fast to be an LSA and probably too heavy as well, wet with even just the pilot aboard, much less a passenger.

      In the US that wouldn't make the requirements for an ultra-lite or light sport. It has retractable gear and is way too fast. I can see it being certified under the Experimental Category.
