Closest I've ever come to a living bobcat in the wild was about 18 to 24 inches. I just crossed over in West Virginia from the Virginia side, on my way to my small farm, nine home schooled children and my wife. It was after one of those crazy shifts where I was up for 37 or thirty-eight hours. I saw it on top a locust post holding a field fence.
Those dilated eyes can see 3 dimensional! Go give him a big hug!
Is this cat caught in a leg trap? Those leg traps are cruel and trapping that way is despicable. This is not "cute" at all.
I know. Why can’t humans just leave other animals be? Man kills everything.

What I've heard about bobcats, moreso than with other predatory carnivores, is that they are "defensively" aggressive, meaning that they are more unlikely to go out of their way to threaten you.
If you see a bobcat doing something like this, it means they want you to go away.
That means you should be nice, and do that.
@nickopeters there are no records of bobcats attacking humans ever. This one had been trapped, however, and this "hero" killed it.
@@SpartanThe300th I wondered why it was laying there like that. I thought it was in a trap, but hoped I was wrong.
