He was a monster who killed people, but let's not forget how Harry's code made him a good man by killing bad people who had it coming. I know people will disagree with me, but it made him a "good" person.
You people can say whatever you want.. to me dexter was every criminal's fate, vengeance and justice are the two sides of the same coin. You might criticize me and tell that I am a madman, but even though you can't change truths. I did myself horrible stuff in the name of vengeance so that people who deserved it would have it straight... I'm aware that I am no saint but think about it, if no one had sacrificed himself to be the monster that monsters fear, if no one has burnt himself body and soul into ashes, there won't be no light in the middle of the night.

They stripped him off all his humanity. Alas. The original dexter would not have chosen that path regardless. To me this is the greatest music ever made. I listen to it everyday in the morning after waking up. God bless Daniel Licht's soul for this beautiful music.

Out of everything about this show, this background score was the most savage. It sneakily tricked me into thinking there will be a happy ending, vindication, reward for the amazing people carrying the weight of the world. But no good deed goes unpunished.

Well, they succeeded. You do remember the series 3 whole years after it's ending and you will continue to do so. Showtime didn't provide the ending people wanted, and also they didn't risk anything doing just that. in my honest opinion, the ending , though shallow, had the foreseen impact on it's audience .And let's be honest, it's really not THAT bad, considering the last 2 seasons. Peace ^^
Yeah, the ending is memorable because of how shit it was lol *SPOILERS* Deb's death was very unnecessary and Dexter hiding away and becoming a lumberjack was just bad storytelling. What they should've done, was utilized the eight year suspense of who Dexter is and had Miami Metro hunting him down in the final season as that would've been much more fulfilling as opposed to Dexter faking his death and hiding away. The show went downhill after season 4, but they could've redeemed it through suspense and thrill towards the end.
I adore this piece - it's so full of hope. It's just gorgeous. One of thopse moments where Dexter says he feels nothing and in the same breath proves he feels much more deeply than he will ever realise. It's wonderful.
This reminds me of the small flashback he has of rita and the kids man she brought color to his world and then she just died. the saddest character death ever.
