      Hi im a carpenter and work mostly in London so mostly city driving , I also carry a lot of tools and sometimes a couple of sheets of mdf or plywood i wonder how much this would effect milage ?

    • @truevan5362
      @truevan5362  5 лет назад

      @@phalimmaguire6069 Hi Phalim. It all depends on 2 factors: weight and weight of your right foot on the accelerator. These 2 factors will reduce range. The other issue is how many miles do you actually drive per day? If you are only doing up to 40 or 50 miles per day, let's say, then this van should be fine. Lots of people tell us they can't do that many miles in London simply because of the congestion.

    oooohhhh... great!!! Thank you . So enjoyed your comments. I rented once this car and it was all I was imagine it to be. Its smooooooottthhhh... so amazing drive...
    Unfortunately I wanted to buy one here in Japan but it takes one year to get it, and I couldnt get loan for it so I had to take Toyota wan and its depressing. Just want to work hard and change Toyota ( i had it for 3 weeks now) for one of these.
    I dont understand why anyone would want to buy gasoline car if you can buy this. Charging points and maybe range would be some issue but considering the drive feel of this car.....
    Just want to change cars so soon....

    This is so cool. Electric camper vans are the future of vanlife. Most vanlifers care about the environment, and are waiting for these to come to the US. Unfortunately we currently have a President who doesn’t believe in science & thinks windmills cause cancer. 🤦‍♂️ It is so frustrating! Hopefully that will change in 2020 when we get a President who actually believes in science & starts investing in green tech again. Because that is the future, and we are getting left behind.

    • @truevan5362
      @truevan5362  5 лет назад +1

      Thanks for your comment Bike Tall. Having toured the US on 19 occasions and covering 25 states, I am in no doubt that electric vans will be in wide spread use before very long. VW have invested $40 Billion into electric vehicle technology and Daimler Benz €10 Billion. Of course Tesla as well. They're going to expect a healthy return, aren't they? The US is a prime market as well. Richard

    • @BikeTall
      @BikeTall 5 лет назад

      True Van Oh i agree Richard. Guess I am just impatient. Lol. Right now our current President is very anti green tech. So it’s frustrating. But it’s also inevitable. You’re right, the Genie is out of the bottle. Most of the major car manufacturers like VW are committed to going fully electric by 2030. I am looking forward to getting my first EV soon.

      That is essential fora van. When I worked for PESCE Baking 17 North Hine Street Youngstown Ohio; I backed up the trucks so that they were 12 inches apar for loading to the morning routes and fueled up. TheRenault Master ZE and the big VE 200 is ideal and there could be a charging plug on the dock. FIVE AM BEDLAM is getting the drivers out and they come in around eight PM . Maybe covering how a US company like PESCE could save a ton of money with electric vans and get the job done. Route Sales is a moving business which means the drivers get a commission on their sales. Rotate day old products for croutons and pig feed is normal practice. I hope you contact Tony Pesce and say hi for me. Maybe, Nissan or Renault will make this happen in Youngstown. Jahad Ismali is still running the market in Youngstown. He likes to get Arnie's army to pick apples and produce and he could certainly benefit from electric vans for his delivery service. I am still wondering why it has not happened in the United States as Europe/ Israel/ Japan all are enthusiastic about the vans costing less than ten per cent of their operating costs to do the same job.

    • @truevan5362
      @truevan5362  5 лет назад

      Hi Robert.
      Thanks for your comments. I'd love to sell into this market. The problem, as with all electric vans, is that manufacturers appear to have hit a "go slow" on electric. Nissan now quote about 9 months delivery time on the eNV200 in the UK. Renault have, what I would describe, created a "soft launch" for their Master ZE. Meaning it's available but is the selling price viable as business tool? Well, starting at £57,280 including VAT in the UK (after government grant) its about 3 x more expensive than the diesel equivalent.
      I keep pestering Renault for a Master ZE to review for this channel. I'm also pestering Ford to review their new electric PHEV Transit Custom van. I'm very excited about both and hope to trial them before too long.
      Personally, I beleive the whole electric vehicle scene will markedly change once VW launch their new MEB all electric platform. We will first see a Golf sized car on that platform become available in about a year or less. That car is set to be about the same price as a diesel Golf and charge times dramatically reduced, taking it a big step closer to filling a piston engined vehicle with fuel. A range of new models will be based on that platform, including vans, so I understand.
      Regards, Richard

  • @bencross4907

    Heated Seats and Heated Steering wheel do not effect the driving range as they are powered off the 12v vehicle battery. The only things that effect the range will be how it is driven, the Air Conditioning and Heater Matrix (which is has been specifically designed to used 2/3 less energy than the ones you find in conventional internal combustion engine vehicles) and the outside temperature is in extreme weather conditions.

    I'm a parcel delivery driver, at the moment I drive a 2019 Peugeot boxer L2H2 and carry volumes of 120 to 180 parcels per day. very shortly my boxer will be going elsewhere in the agency and the agency plans on getting these eNV200 vans. what would your opinion be on for this work purpose? will the eNV200 big enough for the job or would I be best recommending something else. our parcels vary from clothes from NEXT to live plants and very rarely mountain bikes.

    • @truevan5362
      @truevan5362  4 года назад +1

      James makes a good point Darren and I would certainly agree with James' recommendations. The other point that struck me is the volume of parcels you carry. The L2 H2 Boxer is a van I know extremely well and is quite a lot larger than the eNV200. So you may struggle with capacity of the Nissan. A new electric van is coming onto the scene which I am excited about; the e Vivarro from Vauxhall (PSA). Now this is bigger and has a good range. If you would like to know more and practical solutions like how to get hold of them, then please get in touch with me via the True Van website (www.truevan.co.uk). I'll be more than happy to help you.

      thank you for your responses. I believe my work has decided to only use the eNV200's for the much smaller city centre routes due to emission laws. my boxer is being replaced with an L3H2 rear wheel drive Ford transit. as much as I enjoy the fuel economy of the boxer, it's not really that comfortable to drive.
