Congratulations! I have a camper van too and everyday I love how it handles driving on the highway, compared to a Class C motorhome. Tip: My 3-way Dometic refrudge broke down and I got a new 120-voltA/C, 12=volt D/C "Engel" RV/Boat refrigerator. The 12-volt on the Dometic 3-ways only are used while driving as it drains your batteries. The new Engel cabinet style refrig (looks like a Dometic) refrigerators will run all day on just one battery and no hookups! I also put four Renology 100 watt solar panels on the roof and 4 Battle Born Lithium Iron Phosphate Batteries behind my driver's seat (no gasses) so I can park in remote areas with no hook-ups and have my refridge running all day and night. This is something to keep in mind when that Dometic 3-way finally goes kaput. RV refriges are easy to take out as only 4 screws usually hold them in place.

I got a 96 coach house, self contained. Love it!!!!
I didn't have to scale down from a class A, so to me it's like a condo on wheels.
If you can adjust to the loss of space, you're gonna love it.
You can take it anywhere with minimal effort.

This is going to be interesting when you're driving down the road and realize there are not one but two fresh cat poos needing immediate attention. At least you'll have the ability to park easily if you're camping at Walmart in city again and not have to worry if there is a place to turn around down that long dirt road when Boondocking. Take care...

    THATS GREAT BROTHER ,
I've been watching and seen when your other had been damaged and how it made you feel .
Not sure if it would make it back from FL .
I'm so so dam happy you got this .
I can tell what it's done for you and what this means to you .
    I'm mostly a Ford man .
I can tell you a few things that will , with out a doubt save you very much dollars n grief .
DO NOT , UNDER CIRCUMSTANCES TRY TO REPLACE THE SPSARKPLUGS IN THAT ENGINE !!!
    believe me , don't .
Ford recommends you NEVER change them .
Only if there is damage to one , just replace that one .
The reason is the head design was poor as far as the spark plugs openings are concerned and they strip very easy .
And the plug or plugs will blow from the heads and your done .
There is a fairly inexpensive fix if this were to happen ,
BUT NOT , NOT IN A VAN CHASIS !!
that's all there is to it !
The engine would have to be pulled from the van .
Now I will not go into what that takes , but please believe me ,JUST DONT CHANGE THE PLUGS .
I had been a tec in a Ford dealership when they started putting these out , both the V8 and the V10
And they all have this problem .
Some of the brand new trucks would spit out spark plugs from the factory .
just please don't let anyone tell you different .
And change the oil every 2500 to 3000 miles .
Don't let jerks that don't know what they are talking about screw up you grove brother .
I have several trucks with the same engine you now own and one of them has almost 200, 000 on it with the original plugs and it runs very well .
But she's beautiful and I am glad for you .
    Dare to dream ,
It's what America used to be .
    Bravo

NICE Van and a fun size. I think your stealth litterbox would do well in that big square box next to the toilet. Then you can open up the back door and empty it out easily.
Also, as far as the microwave you could get a microwave combo oven that would fit in there perfectly, manufacturers make them for all sizes and RV's.
I look forward to your renovations.

  • @patriciauselton6460
    @patriciauselton6460 3 года назад

This is a fine ride! Congratulations!
A Class B van means all the road miles are done with Jax and Tara in their own home -- no need to transfer back and forth from a pickup to a trailer.
Better fuel consumption compared to a large Class A.
A different set of maintenance issues, but hopefully this is a major upgrade from Miranda's problems.
Basecamp means no permanent large storage worries -- no need to carry all your worldly possessions with you.
The smaller footprint means better mobility and parking options.
I would think you can still bring Tater Tot or a bike or motorcycle for exploring. The kitties can have a nap while you buy more Mickey memorabilia (put shelves in the upper windows for the full Disney experience).
You live out of an RV, not in one.
    Good luck and good journeys!

Right on Eric, my son just bought a 1999 Chevy roadTrak and loves it. I still like the Class C motorhome, I downsized from my 40 foot diesel pusher to a 26 foot class C easier to maneuver and park, getting campsites at Campground‘s is easier to but still has all the comforts of home and roomier than the Class B. Enjoy your new toy.

One thing you need to know about driving in MI, especially around Detroit and that area, is you never use turn signals. It only lets people know when to cut you off. I always felt the same way about driving in Seattle and Tacoma.

    • @1footinthegrave084

@@williamgill5286 having grown up in MI and worked for several years in and around Detroit, there are way too many stupid drivers for cops to worry about you not using a signal. Besides it was a bit tongue in cheek as Eric had said he had his signal on when the car passed him.
