I just purchased a 1998 Coachman Starflyte RV identical to the one you show here. Mine has the pull out love seat behind the driver seat and the bed in the back. It has a few issues I'm working through but I am happy with my purchase. I am 66 retired, 6'3" and I can stand upright inside however I will bump my head on the ducted ac vents which protrude down about two inches but I can live with that. Thanks for your video it was quite informative.

Real nice, I love the way you slowed the camera to show the whole layout at the end. A lot of people just show close ups and it's hard to see the layout. Thanks for posting. Great job on explaining everything. Hope to see your next one when you buy it.

I agree with you on the lack of "living area". My biggest pet peeve in any RV is when you sit down on the sofa and you're looking at the sink and cooktop... What the heck? I mean I know they have to put things where they fit but good Lord, any idiot can figure out how to revamp that floor plan. This little rig is pretty cute... Small, but very doable. I'm actually surprised at the amount of storage.

The layout with the L-shaped couch in the back that converts to a bed is a good layout too. It gives you more room that the one with the permanent bed in the rear like mine. They are the best layouts. Then there is a third layout that is not so good.

Engine in very good condition. Had 60k miles when I bought it. I had the engine checked over by mechanic. No issues. Just replaced fuel, air and oil filters. Oil change. New serpentine belt. I drove it from the east coast to New Mexico and back - 4000 miles. And I have driven it to Milwaukee and back. Very reliable. No issues.

I was wondering if anyone knows about engines, and could tell me more about engines and what I could do to purchase a new engine and replace it if I choose to do so? Again, I don’t know much about vehicles, so I’m willing to put a bit of elbow grease if anyone can tell me an inexpensive alternative engine without sacrificing usage. I’ve lived in rvs, but I don’t know about mechanics and such. Thank you to anyone that can help 😁
