Can't wait to see your video when you try this len on film camera. I'm also want to get this one to use with my Asahi Pentax as well ❤ your video is so relaxing to watch and the photos are great as always
How wonderful Steven, seems like a very handy lens and very artistic. I have a Tokina 500/8 reflex lens I bought 1987 for my Nikon FA. Now I also use it for my Sony APS-C but not very often, but your video has inspired me to try it more now. Thank you Steven!
Thank you for the video. It really got me interested in this lens. Looks fantastic. But the real show is from the images you shared. Really beautiful and emotional. I've been to Japan just once, but just now I felt I was there again. Arigato.
I've got a reflex lens Sigma 400mm f4, and still looking for a new one. Nowdays no lens brand, which produces reflex lens, until I see this, unfortunately the sharpness of this lens seems not having enough progress if we compare with the old reflex lens. even the bokeh is not creamy as I expected. thank you for making this video.
Steve, greetings from Okinawa! I woke up this morning, grabbed my iPad and signed into RUclips. This video appeared as an option and as a subscriber to your channel, I decided to view the content. Dude, amazing review! So much so, that even before it was finished I visited B&H and preordered the lens and an adapter for my Leica M mount bodies. This lens will see action on my M11, and on my SL2-S. I might even try it my M8 and M9M, but I think Live View might produce the better results. Thanks Steve! Continued success to you and yours. Be Blessed, Doc Chaps
I was considering this lens, but thanks to the good video, I decided to buy it. I have one question: Although with 250mm lenses, there seems to be little shaking in hand-held shooting. And I think gimbals are hard to use this lens. What know-how did you shoot with?
Intriguing video sir, thank you. What do you think the effect would end up looking like on an apsc camera like my sony a6700 camera?, would it be like a 375mm lens?, does it come with an adaptor....
You are asking why M42: Universal mount Can be adapted to any old & new mount resulting in higher production Numbers giving lower price Tag for each lens… Great footage and pictures as always from Japan - will be there in August!
Nice video as usual, but you are right Steven, this kind of bokeh is subjective. I find it distracting, loud, gimmicky and pretty darn ugly! You have to have a strong stomach for this stuff. Ok, I am going back to re-watch 'Shooting Film in Kyoto.'
Once again it is a great pleasure watching your video, it makes me dream!
Besides, it is a gorgeous lens!
Much appreciate :)

I was hand held and if put on gimbals that's OK. The lens is smaller and lighter than a 24-70/2.8.

老師所以這是一支m42的現代反射鏡!? 心動了!
@@yayaba730 是的。點連結可以詳細了解的,謝謝你。
old's cool !!!
Nice. Considering the prices of the famous (and old) Minolta 250mm / 5.6 this is a bargain!
Yes :))

Don’t like the doughnut bokeh, too distracting… skip for me on this lens and thanks for showcasing!

Because it is not a lens for street photography. I got amazing images with it in many other situations
