I've created a custom gpt that rolls dice using python behind the scenes and acts as an advanced theater of the mind 5e dm for LMoP. Still fine tuning it but wow you can play it in voice to voice and it's pretty great so far.
We had to change the name due to Open AI's policies regarding trademarked names. It is now the RPG Character Architect, available here: chat.openai.com/g/g-f3nZe1F2k-rpg-character-architect
Why the hard nope? As a DM, I agree that we should not solely rely on these tools. I have, however, used GPT to create ideas and frameworks. I would never have it run my battles. But if it can generate a random building, area, etc. Then I may use it when my players go way off script to keep the game flowing.
This is awesome! I am currently working with GPT to setup and run my new campaign now.
