Just started with Fitness+, and one of the things I greatly appreciate is the flexibility in the routines. You get guidelines for resistance, cadence and stance, but the trainers often give you choices and make it all relative. You're motivated without feeling pushed beyond your limits.
Great comparison! I'm also trying to decide between the Peloton app vs the fully integrated peloton experience as I have a Peloton bike that I canceled the subscription for a few years ago, but want to start back up
Great video. I tried Apple Fitness+ since I have the Apple One plan and went running back to the Peloton app after just 2 of the cycling classes. I do enjoy the rowing classes, but that’s mainly because they’re my only option available at this point.
With Peloton you basically have to “meal plan” there are so many options. I will be trying Apple + next week to see if I like it, worth the 30 days trial just to see if I should do both or just stick with Peloton. Thank goodness I never bought the bike but got a Schwinn bike
Great video and love the cheeky “totally impartial” bit! I have a free trial of Apple Fitness and you’ve inspired me to at least try it out. I do love my Peloton workouts and gear though!
I’ve watched your Fitness+ videos a handful of times now. Before subscribing to Apple and now six months after. And have decided to give the Peloton app a try.. I’ve loved Fitness+ up to now, and has helped me lose 60 pounds, but can say I think I like cycling a bit better on Peloton and rowing a bit better on Apple! Maybe not a wise financial decision, but I will most likely keep both! One thing I did notice here, though is the rowing setup you have. Does the 32in TV not show metrics with the Apple AV cable? Thanks!
@@SteveJulien I notice when I workout on the Peleton app my phone, it gives me a strive score for almost everything. But when I do it on the bike…only cycling, not even the cardio workouts. Seems like maybe apple limited them? Unsure.
Hi, How do you show apple fitness metrics on large screen ? I have Apple TV 4K and if I use Apple Watch, the metrics don’t display on large screen , only on iPhone Any suggestions, Thanks
Nice video! Especially I like your new workout setup! Looks amazing! Regarding the price: not to forget that 12.99 at Peloton is only the app membership. In order to use the tread and bike til full extend it‘s around 39.99 $ I guess. I am wondering to go all in and buy the peloton tread but maybe apple fitness + and a regular tread is just fine?! (Not able to try it out as apple fitness+ is not available in Germany so far….)
With a regular Tread you can use either Peloton or Apple on a screen in front of it. The peloton Tread is very good I would say but you're right, it's then 39.99pm. We have both and find it good value still as the content either is excellent.
I have a question, my friend. My community gym has a Peloton bike. I don't have a Peloton subscription. Can I use the hardware in some kind of Peloton "manual mode" and use the Apple Fitness + app instead?
I’m an Apple Plus Fitness user, though not for cycling (no bike), but I use the burn bar in rowing and HIIT workouts. Totally don’t get it either for the same reasons you mention!!
Have you compared calorie burn from each app? 20 minute peloton work out burns far more calories then apple? Although these are not totally accurate of course. What is your opinion on this? I like both!! So can’t really choose!
I did several peloton 20 min cycling and an apple fitness plus 2 min cycling workout. Heart rate & calories were measured on an apple watch for both. No contest, Apple cycling workouts had me burning significantly more calories and reaching a higher heart rate. After a month I found my cardio was significantly better doing apple classes. FYI, I set the resistance to the higher side when the Peloton instructor calls resistance numbers.
Having used both, Apple fitness plus wins hands down. I don’t like the back patting and shoutouts the Pelaton instructors spend so much time shouting out to their users. It’s distracting and unmotivating imo.

I’m fairly certain I can listen to you talk all day - you have an amazing voice paired with your accent.
Love your videos! Thanks for sharing!
I like your reviews. It’s like you read my mind when you answer my questions before I ask them.
Haha, excellent!
I appreciate this review! I have the Apple Fitness+ bundled in my Apple apps and have never used it. I think I will give this a try!

I think you’ll really like the trial, it’s very good.
Love the impartial intro! 😂
😁
Ally Love made it so hard to leave peloton, I loved her classes, but in the end I cancelled my subscription.
Great vid! Nobody will judge you…you did the dance workouts didn’t u? 😂🤣
It was 100% me, haha!

Well done losing 60lbs! 👏🏽 👏🏽
I use Ifit, peloton and Apple and it helps having the variety.
Can’t remember re the metrics on screen, sorry.
Idea for future video. What workouts we can use the strive score with a which we can’t, and how we can get around it. Things seemed to have changed.
Thanks, I'll do some research!

Nice one as always mate.

Hydrow app v Apple rowing coming in the next few weeks.
@@SteveJulien I have the Aviron rower and just love it!!
Do I need an Apple TV box or would casting be sufficient.. also I’ve just bought a concept 2 bikerg.. any good for these apps?

I normally just go with how I feel. I will check next time though.
True that’s much more important! 👍🏼
