Irked me a bit but I will say alot of primitive shooting techniques for self bows display this type of short draw almost instinctive shooting, where u never reach full draw. Was semi common. Still like seeing full draw but he also likely was avoiding maxing it out just for a vid
I understand I see people fire like that then let the bow fall forward like that and it drive me nuts too

Top limb is so much softer than lower limb
In order to fix it, it would end up being a 25lb bow. However, it may keep the draw weight by fire hardening the belly and tillering the bottom limb to match.

Careful consideration my ass, there aint a thing right about his "style" of shooting, brother doesnt even try to anchor, aim or do a proper follow through. As for his joy in the sport yeah good for em, I was never talking about that though

What wood is that man?
I have made one out of bamboo. But it's like 6 foot long. And is so hard to shape. I cannot find a better material to make a bow by myself as most wood are so hard here in India.

I use black locust, ash, yew, red oak and many more. For arrows there are also many suitable woods (such as dog rose, hazel shoots)

Is that true ash? Or mountain ash? curious cuz I just discovered an unlimited amount of Rowan( European mountain ash) I know there both good I'm just always curious cuz most tree names are vague. Especially when people mention ash.
