This should have been the biggest build a figure we ever got from Mcfarlane. It could have been included in a intergalactic villains mega fig only collection. Imagine buying 4 to 5 mega figs to build a ultra fig!

At least he's taller than the BAF I guess. I think a lot of companies use the powers of some characters as an excuse to not really care about the size of the figure they put out. They probably chalked it up to Anti Monitor's ability to change size.

I kinda like how clean he looks. I'd rather have the various parts cast in the appropriate colored plastic instead of the whole thing being painted because you don't have to worry about sloppy paint apps as much. DC Direct painted absolutely everything, they painted over joints and sometimes even parts that were already the right color. A lot of their paint apps were sloppy, thick, gloppy and had a chalky finish. I'd like to see McFarlane put a little more focus on paint, but I generally prefer what they're doing over any of their predecessors.

100% on the self fulfilling prophecy analogy. i've been dying for this figure. but he's way to small and with the lack of paint and piping like superbly prime i cancelled my preorder and will wait to see if it goes on discount.

Great review. The original Crisis will forever be, in my opinion, the best of those huge crossover sagas in comics. The Anti-Monitor is a must buy for me and surely others who liked that saga so it's too bad Todd slightly dropped the ball with this one. Great articulation and sculpt but the size should've been bigger and a couple of extra-hands and an actual paintjob would've done wonders for this figure. I've a feeling everyone who bought this fella at full price will feel kinda ripped off when the inevitable "sale price" starts to show up. At least that will be slightly better than seeing a 2nd release that fixes most of these issues.

While I was never going to pass on this figure, I really wish we could have gotten the Ivan Reis design from Blackest Night/Brightest Day. I think overall, that's his best design. And while it's unreasonable to ask for a true scale Anti Monitor compared to the regular seven inch figures, I think making him at least as big as Swamp Thing would have been nice! He's in desperate need of an interchangeable hand with an energy effect on it.

I love this figure but I'm pretty sure I'm go9ng to play clearance chicken with it. Because I just scored Mongul for $19.99.

I mean he looks pretty cool but wow looking at him next to swamp thing it’s so sad that he’s so small, he should’ve been at least the same height than swamp thing, he needs a lot of paint too, would’ve been a really cool fig :/

Yeah a very underwhelming fig, I bought this thinking it will sell out because Anti-Monitor is a legendary bad guy. I was wrong lol. When I saw it in hand, I instantly didn't like it so I sold it without even opening

Wasn’t really interested in this one, but after watching your review I was like it’s a decent figure but 40 bucks was too much that I was willing to pay. Today I found it at target for 20 bucks and couldn’t pass it up lol

Of the few DCUC i held onto after recently selling off 70 odd percent of collection, anti-monitor is a great looking figure, but has not been replaced by this mcfarlane - not that i’m collecting these now….. argh! So many, too many! This looks like its based on 60’s cartoons. Sorry, no sale here.
    *Great vid;)

My first thought was wondering what scene you might create with the "World's Smallest" series of toys and games! Thank you always

This figure looks fun with the head and huge legs but I think you're onto something in that this figure should be marketed with 3 inch page punchers. It looks pretty epic holding that 3 inch Batman! I keep wondering if Todd is going to do vehicles or playsets in this scale. Good review!

Thanks for the review, Josh - I'm still on the fence with this one though...
It's a really nice looking figure, but I'm going to have to repaint it if I get one, and I think your comments about Todd's approach are spot on. Stay safe, Dude. ;)
