It’s so sad our blood and kin Tangkhul and Zeliangrong and other tribes decided to become Nagas… we all came from the same ancestor. We share a lot of history together. To this day we Meiteis still celebrate festivals which show love to our big brother Tangkhul, Paomai, Maram, Koirao, Mao, Thangal and Liangmei etc. we still worship tangkhul princess Haoleima in our Sanamahi. We Meiteis still love you our Tangkhul, Kabui, Maram, Maring, Paomai, Liangmei brothers. I can’t name every tribe because it would become very long. Please forgive us Meiteis for our forefathers discrimination against you. We recognise that but we also want you to remember that times are changing now. Please don’t forget our roots. I hope one day our tribal brothers realise that Naga is just a term given by the British to separate us. But we are (Manipuri) by blood because we share blood. To all the young people of the tribes, like Gen Z and millennials, ask your elders about the ancient relationship with Meiteis. We are your family. Don’t forsake us because the British gave you a different name🙏
Be more rational in thinking Everyone has the right to choose and change.. First ask yourself what make them change and what are the factor that lead to change them?
@@aboyashem5413 I’m sure there might have been many factors that made them want to do that. But family is family my brother. If your brother went to America and became Muslim does it mean he’s not your brother anymore? No right? Meitei are adopting Hindu culture. It's not the false of Tangkhul but the false of Meitei. Real Meitei are Tribal but Bisnupuri Meitei are fake Meitei just like Bangal Assamese are fake Assamese. It's not British who divides the People of Northeast Indian but the Brahmin are main responsible for dividing the tribal People of Northeast. Tribal people never use non-tribal customary dress like dresses but like others tribal people dress. Therefore it is obvious that it was the responsibility of Hindu Brahmin that divided Meitei and Tangkhul.
