Fyi, Harstem caught reynor on the ladder with the same build/map as game 1 and managed to ruin his day with it. For those of us who wanted to see the captain NOT lose his probes.

The adepts in the bases while he was attacking the main army was sooooo good as well wow. Killed 30, THIRTY!!! drones while threatening to kill everything. Such a good use of those adepts when by all rights he should've had mutas over his head if he didn't keep the pressure up that hard.

What a great series. Thanks for showcasing it Winter. That last battle of the match point was a knife edge. You have to feel like if Harstem's units weren't so clumped for the mass baneling.... But he probably didn't even know just how many there were and how doing some splits would likely be the determining factor 😲

Winter, serious comment: I think it's maybe a big ask, but could you add random footage at the end of your videos so the video length doesn't spoil the results? HGC (Heroes of the Storm's WCS equivalent -- RIP both) used to do that, they'd repeat part of the broadcast at the end of the youtube vod so all videos would last about the same much, so that no one gets spoiled by mathing out how the games went with game length alone. For instance, I'm only a few seconds into game 3 but I know harstem wins it because its a Bo5 and the video lasts much much longer than one match, so Reynor couldn't possibly win this third game (i mean, it's not impossible but its unlikely)

I’v never seen mutalisk not pay out vs Protoss, why don’t zergs build them every game?
Because if it gets scouted Phoenix vs Muta is probably one of the biggest straight unit counters in the game and Protoss almost always go Stargate so they don’t need a tech switch to shut it down completely and they’re super expensive and useless if they don’t take your opponent by surprise because they suck in a fight
Reynor literally lost game 4 because he went muta and only got 3 probes cuz of the Phoenixs coming out quick enough. Mutas are insanely expensive so if they dont work you basically lose

God these PvZ games are SOOO much more entertaining to watch then Terran ones. Watching terran these days is just seeing how far a few omega-broken units types can carry an entire faction, it's boring af.

man, adept upgrade is actually a sleeper build I think. Since they're very strong against lings, and even if they don't go light units, their shading is a big threat to the economy, which allows Protoss to win in a longer engagement.
Although JUST building adepts is probably not as good as mixing them with blink stalkers overall. But the lack of adepts in later matches feels like a missed opportunity
As long as zerg have some creeps spread, adepts just don't really work later on
@@brunetyannick1174 creep spread isn't going to prevent adepts from attacking.
If adepts shade, you basically split the army of Zerg.
If they don't chase, you're basically going to get drone kills or disrupt the economy.
If they do chase, then you can cancel the shade and be fighting a smaller army

I dont understand why people cannon-rush zerg when zerg win that 95% of the time... is it just some personality deficit in protos-players to intentionally throw like this..?
Even if Zerg wins the defence it can slow down the Zerg a bit, hold back on worker production and even allow to get some tech out for the Protoss. So I think people mostly use it to put zerg on the backfoot

Cannon rushes in a pro game against one of the best players in the world, fucks it up, fails a wall off against lings he knows exist. When Harstem is one of the races better players and he does shit like this I dont want to see any protoss needs buffs complaints. Unless Stats comes back or someone that can actually play a straight up game vs the best reliably show some issues its all bullshit. I fucking bet one of these games coming up theres going to be a massive over commitment to microing blink stalkers, even once lurkers show up
