    I wonder - prop box environment could be duplicated in a fishtank? That way you'd be able to see the plant, growth sticking to the sides and all.

      Yeah a fish tank would be perfect, might see if I can find a cheap second hand one

    My dog has become fussy about meal times. He wants me to leave the food while he grazes throughout the day. I don’t like leaving his food out because the cat eats it and gets sick.

    We always let everything in the garden die off, stay put over winter. Letting plant matter decay in the soil adds carbon, once carbon is lost it is a pain to get it back. (just don't let any sick plants over winter) Pull anything that will make the chickens or goats sick in the spring and let the critter loose in the garden to clear it and scratch up the soil for us. They fertilize it for us, and we have to do far less work. We often have surprise pop up of plants from last years dropping seed. I have found that those plants tend to be the healthiest.

    You're plants are doing heaps better than mine. I had a decline in my functional capacity and neglected my herbs and my capsicums and probably killed them (I say probably because I haven't actually checked them for a few weeks). It's just my zucchini that's still going because it's in a different area that's more accessible, but I'm in Canberra and it's cold now (I'll harvest the one fruit it has over the weekend if it's still good). Chronic pain and chronic health conditions can be a mean old b!tch sometimes.
    Thanks for the vlog and the updates and the Freya cuteness!

    It baffles me that Australia of all places doesnt have centralized ac. Cuz i know in Europe where the weather isnt super hot thats doable. But Australia??? Ppl r so strong there. And i say that as a person whos home is kept at 26.67 celcius as opposed to most Americans who keep theirs around 21.11 celcius

      We do have it, it's just expensive to install and unless you're doing a new build and have the extra cash to splash on it then you won't find it in many homes, especially not older ones. Split systems are more popular in Australia for sure but again aren't standard when building a home, you pay extra for it and they aren't cheap. We spent nearly $6k doing 3 rooms in our house and will likely spend the same to complete it.

    I just bought a begonia jungle from bunnings marked down the other day, has the furry velcro leaves like that begonia cross. Hopefully I don't kill it

    How often do you water your prop boxes and open the lid? Thank-you for this video! I enjoyed it a lot!

    • @HaileyOvlogs
      @HaileyOvlogs  Месяц назад

      In winter I might water twice over the full season and I open the lid once or twice a month (boxes have holes drilled in them for ventilation though), in summer I tend to check about one a week/fortnight to make sure the moisture level is appropriate
