  • Wei sits down to talk with the incredible gentlemen that collaborated on the Zenith Calibre 135 Observatoire Limited Edition, about Zenith's participation in the Neuchâtel Observatory trials and its historical significance.
Following the success of two custom El Primero chronograph collaborations between Zenith and auction powerhouse Phillips Watches in 2019, Zenith has partnered with the exceptional Kari Voutilainen and once again with Phillips Watches, to release another awe-inspiring collaboration limited to only 10 pieces and sold exclusively through Phillips. This limited edition contains restored examples of Zenith's caliber 135-O, an observatory-grade chronometer movement from the 1950s, hand finished by Voutilainen himself. This famed caliber is intricately linked to the history of precision timekeeping and will no doubt be highly coveted by collectors the world over.

I would love to know whether the movement still has the same precision. As we all see that Kari has done a lot to decorate the movement so it can be prettier to see through exhibition caseback.

Lol, no. Zenith has been making dials that look like this since forever.
