Hi there I am Venezuelan woman married for 30 years with a Japanese man and my advice for you is always be respectful each other and talk when you need to argue something important you are a lovely couple congratulations for your wedding 🙏🏻🥰
Just subscribed. Wish you all the best in your relationship. Working 9-7:30 is a pretty long day. My husband leaves the house around 7 and comes home around 5:30, so it's pretty relative.
This guy’s accent is really encouraging for me or anyone who’s still unsure of traveling to Japan. You can learn a lot of Japanese away from Japan but you might not get such a perfect accent as if you went.
Hi, so nice to meet you! In the US, the standard work hour day is 8 hours. Within an 8 hour work day, most workers have a 45 minute lunch break. However, it is a law that workers are entitled to a 30 minute meal break. In summation, US workers generally work a 7 and a half hour day or 7 and a 1/4 day. Of course, commute times differ across the country. Hope this helps. All the best to you both.
@virginiakazuya You're welcome! I lived in Okinawa for two years when I was in the military (US Army). I only stopped in Tokyo at the airport. I always wanted to visit Tokyo, but I never had the chance. Two of my best friends were able to visit Tokyo one weekend, and they told me they left a camera in a cab. They started running down the Ginza, waving their arms and yelling. The cab driver stopped, and they got the camera. I could just imagine what a sight they must have made running down the Ginza! I wish I could have gone with them, but I was at work. I hope I described the Ginza correctly. I think it's a really wide street in Tokyo, similar to Fifth Avenue here in Manhattan in NYC. If I am incorrect, please accept my apologies. I b did enjoy my time in Okinawa, and the people were wonderful and kind. I did take a Japanese language course, and I still remember some words in Japanese. There was a funny occurrence in class one day. The instructor (Fumio) asked me to repeat a word in Japanese. I did as she requested. She asked me if I was from the Eastern part of the United States. I replied that I was. She explained (politely, of course) that people from the East coast had trouble pronouncing some words in Japanese correctly. It sounded fine to me, so I disagreed. Of course, my classmates joined in. The people from California said my pronunciation was incorrect. Fumio then asked if anyone was from the West coast and, of course, the California trouble makers volunteered. 🤨 They pronounced the word correctly per Fumio. The Californians claimed pronunciation victory over me (a NYC kid) and I accepted defeat! It was an interesting learning experience! Side note: if you are not aware, people from California will tell everyone THEY don't have an accent because they are from CALIFORNIA! Please, give me a break. They do! Oh well, enough of my funny story for today Virginia and Kazuya! It's early afternoon here, so I don't know how whether to say Konnichwa or Konbanwa (excuse any misspelling please). Sayonara! Margaret
