A lot of 750 bhp Delta's ,especially in Rally Cross have this turbo flutter ... still it looks,sounds & handles like not many of today's top rocket hatches .. Group B Rally days are sadly missed :(
@WindmillStalker Incorrect, this car does not have a dump valve. What you are hearing is turbo flutter with the air passing back across compressor blades the wrong way. Dump valves reduce this from happening, and you get a hiss sounding compressed air noise with dump valve, not this flutter "pigeon" noise.
@MrJPEadon Nothing does. It's simply describing the sound the turbo makes when the throttle closes and the wastegate/bov doesn't bypass enough air. The turbo's blades basically stall and the turbo itself can spin backwards. It's not exactly good however with the above car being pretty extreme, he probably budgets on replacing the turbo relatively frequently.
Its called "Compressor stall". The incoming air is effectively stopped by the throttle butterfly valve closing and the resulting air trapped between the throttle and turbo tries to slow down the compressor wheel. In basic description. It's not good for the turbo though.

@munnsey I know what turbo flutter is, cars with blow offs have it too because of poorly set springs or just big pressure. Ofc this car has the flutter sound as well, but does it run totally WITHOUT a blow off? How long does this guy's turbo last? Not long, thats for fucking sure. Throttle response must suck as well cos I dont hear anti-lag.

Per me non è la popoff, ma solo l'aria che torna in turbina con il conseguente colpo d'ariete sulla girante di aspirazione. Questa delta non ha la popoff o blowoff oppure è tarata molto molto dura.
I mean, i cant think of any reason to run this much boost (cos the car is very quick and surely makes at least 450, 500hp) and not fit any type of blow-off or dump valve. Unless you really hate your turbine and want to bang it to hell.

That sound is coming from a (waste gate) dumps the pressure from the turbo reduces the lag you can use dump values as well do the same job

Wastegate is something different. What you hear is a blow off/dump.
Wastegate protects against overboosting. All turbo's have it.

Non credo. E il rumore delle palette turbina, attraverso il filtro a presa diretta.
