Great video. Mine has just stopped working. I put it on charge and when I switch it on, the charge indicator flashes red for a few seconds. Any idea why this is /what it means? Cheers
At 2:30min did you use any other attachment other than the 30mm attachment? or only using the 30mm attachment for the whole head? I think 30mm is the longest attachment for most clippers, not sure what other clippers model have longer than 30mm, it would be good to have longer attachment when cutting own hair. Nice video.
Hi On point Reviews, Do you happen to have had any feedback regarding the battery. 1- has it always performed as expected. 2- I think I know the answer to this question already but has anyone successfully replaced the battery. Mine will only work when plugged into the main socket. The battery will not hold any charge.
Yeah mine too... not only that but I can't operate it on mains anymore either... at first that was possible then only after it was plugged in a while and now not at all. Also can't find any way to open it or replace battery. And Philips website doesn't offer any repair, just a link to new products. So be aware this is a disposable trimmer not something you can use for many years. When I bought it I was assuming after thge battery died worst case I could still use it on mains... sadly I was mistaken.
Hello. I looked for the 18-30 mm attachment like Ivor did and I didn't find anything for either the 5570 or 5530. However, I did find an attachment which looks like the one you're demonstrating on your video but it's indicated that it's only suitable for QC5070. Do you have any idea if it would fit on the 5570?
Hello, where did you buy this 18 - 30 mm attachment? Can't find it anywhere, and I also need it because I got the qc5580, with the attachment till 15 mm, which is too short.
+ivor simicic I just checked on the website I got it from, and for some reason it's no longer available. I checked around and everywhere it's not available anymore. I'm really not sure why they don't have it anymore. Try checking around online for the qc5530 large comb. Maybe somewhere it's available to buy
+ivor simicic I would try going to philips website and calling their customer care phone number and ask someone you need a replacement large comb for the qc5530. They may have the item thats not displayed online. I'd give it a try
your video explained my problem with the 5770 and 5780, i had a older version but gave it away after the 30mm clipper broke, then i ordered a 5780 but got the 5770, i complained about the seller from ebay because it was the wrong order and shipped via amazon, so he sent the 5780 and told me to keep them both, new! i hate them, everyone's hair i cut was too short, i could not figure it out, finally i noticed your video stating 30mm and wow, i need to buy this or longer (if exists) it was very easy to cut with the 30mm and never made anyone's hair look like they joined the army, the 5780 also has the skin head attachment which i use on my (private parts) and works very nize., maybe i sell the 5770 and just dish out the money for the 30mm part...
Does it work for cutting close to 0 mm? I found another video ruclips.net/video/OAxo-nSk7zE/видео.html (very old though) where the machine shows a comb that does not appear in your review (see minutes 0:34, 1:02 and 1:07 of that link). Do you also have it?
I have the first 180 degree made 10 years ago. still running great but the adapter have problem and cant find a replacement...also do not works with 110V but the blade and motor still great...this is the problem with most phiolips products... something breaks
1 minute and you already answered on all my doubts. Fuck me that was useful. Thanks man
Bought one, tried it and it was GREAT.

On Point Reviews thank's for the advice, for the video as well :)
i want to put some oil on the blades sometimes. is it going to do any kind of damage or cause any issue? thanks
Fotis Papadopoulos the guide says to put oil supplied on blade only if you want to like every 3 months. You need to use correct oil.
