    I have a very hard time with å. Not mixing it up with a, but mixing it up with the short o. Maybe if you are able in future, a video contrasting the two? Maybe it is just my particular accent that makes it hard for me!

    Hello, could you explain the change in the vowel sound? For example: (tand and dag in Swedish) in "Tand" the "a" is pronounced like "a" in Spanish. and in "Dag" the "a" is pronounced the "o" in Spanish. Is there a specific rule? Or is it by memorization? Grateful! Tack Tack!

  • @miketian9784

    Hej, why I heard å sometimes like ua and sometimes like o(like English pronunciation)?

    • @FunSwedish
      @FunSwedish  2 года назад +1

      That is probably the short sound of the Å. When it is followed by 2 consonants 😊

    Is it based on the number of consonants that follow in the whole word or in the syllable? So if the å is followed by one consonant in the syllable, but another one in a later syllable, what rule does it follow? This was super helpful, since I didn't know why the å sounds different in each word!

    • @FunSwedish
      @FunSwedish  3 года назад

      It is only affected by the consonants that come immediately after it.
      Happy to hear it was helpful! 😍
