Personally, I've found single-coil type pickups tend to sit in the mix better than do traditional PAF style humbuckers. Much of that however depends on the configuration of the band; fewer instruments the nicer humbuckers sound. "Budget" guitars have come A LONG WAY from my day. Today it's much easier to find an affordable, good playing/sounding guitar than it was when I was starting out in the early 80s ;)
I have owned 4 Gibsons over my guitar life. None of them really impressed me like I thought it would be when I was at the music store trying the guitar out. Over the years I have owned many Asian made guitars and have no qualms with them at all.
The budget friendly guitars are the way to go anymore. Even if a budget friendly guitar isn't 100% where you want it, you would save enough on it (compared to big name brand) to afford "upgrading" certain things, like pots. I watched one guitarist swap out the wiring, cap, and pots on a budget guitar and it sounded much better.

Thank you brother:)
I'd take the Heritage. I already have a guitar with the same Burstbuckers. Thanks for the video.
You're welcome, thanks for watching! Yes, Heritage is becoming my favored brand for Gibson-style guitars...
The Heritage cuts through the mix a lot better. There were some parts where you could barely hear the LP.
That was insane for me to discover! But to be fair I'd have gained up the LP a little more so that it's more prominent through my rig.

Ah yes, I do find that to be true; I love playing my LP in trio bands!
I much prefer the Heritage, but I play an Esquire type guitar, which is pretty far from the LP. Great comparison. Thanks!
Thank you for the kind words! Oh I’d love to try an Esquire if ever I can find one to borrow.

It's insane the quality coming out of places like Indonesia, China, and now I've heard even India (the new Chapman guitars).

That’s one of my future video ideas: to put a Bigsby on this, and swap the pickups to something like Lambertone Ristretto’s!
