- Internationally acclaimed architect Federico Delrosso defines his style through his most personal of works in his hometown of Biella, Italy.
Growing up the son of a surveyor, his passion for architecture wasn't immediately apparent, but eventually, he found himself back in school whilst simultaneously working in the field.
House AF - Completed 2002
His first major project was renovating an old farmhouse with contemporary designs from a metallic porch addition, all the way down to the furniture. This project represents the genesis of his career.
Villa CS - Estimated Completion 2018
The Villa currently under construction is a large-scale project that will see the entire building gutted with only the roof remaining. It will be transformed and renovated including the tennis court and indoor pool.
Teca House - Estimated Completion 2018
The small house on the hill on the hill is a protected area with a small building ruin. The design aims to capture the volume of air and respect the heritage of the building it's being built upon.
Villa MM - Completed 2011
The horizontal villa is important to Federico because it was built on the land he grew up on.
Villa RV - Completed 2011
The vertical villa is also special because Federico's father built the previous home for the father of his current client today, making a second-generation paring of builder and client.
Honoring the past and driving the future, Federico leads a design firm bearing his name and servicing clients both in Italy as well as the United States, Istanbul, Switzerland and beyond.
Federico is working for the client but also for the architecture. He says "We live space, we live architecture, it belongs to everybody."

I love everything about this video..........content, quality, story, & the music. For me, hands down, Praemio is the finest RUclips channel that I subscribe to. I really look forward to your future episodes.
Means a lot! Thank you! - Jeremy
As a Valkyr and Heslup fan, immediately quit working at my desk and took a 10 min break to watch the latest video. The music combined with the overhead shots felt "bird like". Naturally, I was curious what the subject drove and finally around 7.50 the Alfa Romeo horn button appears. Don't know if that mystery was intentional but, naturally as a car guy I was immediately curious. Great effort in conveying the personal background of the subject.
Thanks Harvey for your kind words! Federico is an accomplished race driver as well, a story element I was tempted by but decided to stay away from because I wanted the focus to be on his ability in architecture. I met him while filming the previous Stratos episode through Erik Comas as they are both friends. As Federico helped us shoot the Stratos film, I said maybe one day we could do a film on his architecture. Fast forward a year and half and here we are :). - Jeremy
👍good work and camera 📷 movements I like the way you present
Great video and interesting subject!
I thought his designs are rather mediocre
"Less is more" certainly isn't for everyone! - Jeremy
Espero lograr esto y mas en El futuro.
Perfect ! As always, but as your videos are motivational they also make me little bit sad. If I could find the way to express myself...
compare this to any richard neutra... i mean minimalism is ok but i think i only liked mies minimalism
It is a great the transition to the non cars stories. Love it
Thanks dude! - Jeremy
amazing
i like this story a lot but the drone takes take me out of the story because of the camera movement , what is supposed to be pleasing and smooth like the story you tell looks a little rough, but the video overall its so great
Thanks for the feedback, flying the mavic smooth to photograph a fixed building is probably one of the most challenging things to do - it's easy to chase a car or vista, much harder with buildings! I'm glad you enjoyed though! - Jeremy
Praemio did you tried to stabilized the footage after with only a 1%?
