11:15 that story reminds me of when graduating from undergrad & moving back in with my parents. My mom thought it was an inconvenience & thought that I was giving up, but she didn’t know (until I finally told her) that my mental wellness was so bad that if I would’ve been out on my own, I wouldn’t have been ‘here on this earth’ anymore ♥️👏🏾
Update: A little after that, I was having sxicidal thoughts. A small still voice told me to go & talk to my mom. Another voice told me not to worry her. I chose the ‘small still voice’ that day. My mom (who before didn’t believe in mental wellness & would always brush it off when I displayed signs of depression & anxiety because she wasn’t familiar with it) called 1 of her nurse-friends who was a NP specializing in psychiatry. I was able to talk to her by myself on the phone; she made me feel comfortable enough to make an appointment with her; and convinced me to start antidepressants. My body didn’t take well to the 1st ones, so we tried a small dose of Zoloft, and I’ve been good ever since!
Things haven’t been easy, I’m still living with my parents 🙃, & I still have bouts of depression every blue moon, but I thank God for speaking to me, for listening to my cry, & for softening my mom’s heart. I’m in grad school, now, learning ways of taking care of my mental&physical health & still in relationship with Christ ♥️

I am inclined to tell you that, as a fellow Christian suffering through the same, I trust that you continue to put God as your No. 1 councelour and friend. He knows you best and knows what is best for you, better than any other teacher or medication or goodness forgive meditation practice (cuz they will prescribe some stuff like that)

I love your sense of humor… thank you for always telling the truth. I’ve learned so much. You inspired me to want to find out more about who God is. Especially His holiness. I grew up thinking of His holiness as detached from my human experience, But I’ve come to Know God’s holiness as simply pure intended. I know His holiness is not just confined to purity but I find the most comfort in knowing that He is purely good, He will never think of me with sore eyes, but with pure love, pure understanding, and pure compassion. You always come through with practical wisdom about our human experiences. God is good.

the beginning of this sermon i had a decision to make that would shift the course of my life. not that i knew how exactly, but i know it will make a difference-my obedience. i thank God for Jackie’s obedience, and all others like her and before her. i thank God for the Holy Spirit, because i was able to choose what i know God wanted and was His to have from me, and that was my surrender in the area of my finances.
if i say i believe God is my everything, i need to live it out faithfully and leave no stone in my life untouched and unturned. it’s a process but each day He shows me what i’m hiding and why i need to just give it to Him. i’m grateful for this Word. a year later, and it’s on time. 💕

Having needs is not sinful but it becomes sinful when we rebel against God to have those needs met. 😰
A god that can't warn you is a god that can't protect you from what to come.
God calls you to surrender out of His kindness because He knows that nothing else will work except for Him.
God needs your hands to be open so He can fill them with Him and not with things! (When we have Him we have everything)
It is good news that your idols can be destroyed and it is good news that your God is undestructable.

Watched the whole thing, I thank you so much for this this is helping me break down what I see as an idol in each area of my life. There are a few but they can’t give me what Jesus has for me, they don’t give me peace, nor hope, nor love, nor strength they make me anxious, worried, sad, lonely , and leave me hopeless. Jesus I pray against my idols in Jesus name, I pray to be around others who see my idols and want to remove them from me in Jesus name amen ❤️

Her sentiments on idolatry and holiness are mine during this szn. I was actually just askin God what it means to Him for us to be holy since we are not Him but of reflective image of Him. He responded clearly, audibly, and through events and people. Transformation Church started their #HereIsHoly 📍 series a week later, and now this. The Spirit is always moving at lightening speed! Amazing.

God revealed an idol in my life and nobody talks about the grief you feel when God not only exposes your idols but instructs YOU to give it up!!! pain is an understatement lol but God is good and I trust him or I am beginning to. I thought I did but if we fully trust him we wouldn't have idols in the first place ....

Last time I checked, she’s just having a sermon directed to christian women. She didn’t say she’s a preacher but anyway, who did Jesus say must go tell the people about his rising? It was a woman. You focusing on her being a woman instead of listening to the message shows that you ignore God’s word despite all of us being God’s creation. You think when we die God will ask you, are you righteous because you chose not to listen to a woman? This is sexism and God does not go along with hate and ignorance. Fix your heart, repent and ask God for guidance because you seem to dislike women who were also created by God
