I've made a hat follow your direction on Crochet Gift Set: Colorscape Hat video, first time ever, I want to do this so many years ago. In fact it's so exciting after finishing but I think I have some problems with the string at the first beginning and in the end, I'm scared that it will be easy pull out

Hey there! I have a question, so when I chain three and come back around and double crochet back into the chain the finished product seems to look holey where the three chains were, is there any way to avoid this or am I doing something wrong?

I’m not sure if you found any solutions yet but I seem to have that issue when my first slip knot is loose when making a chain of any number, if you try to tighten it so it’s not a big loop it tends to make that hole smaller 🙂 (I hope this comment helps any present and future readers who may struggle)

Ok in round 5. It says 2 dc then 3 single crochet. And repeat. 2,3,2,3 etc. I did that abd some how ended up with 60 stitches instead of 50? But I checked my pattern and its exactly the sequence explained. I counted my 4th round and there's 40 stitches. So is there supposed to be 60 stitches in round 5?

Nvm. I just went to the pattern and read step 5. My mistake!
