You can easily get lots of research rate with HE - they get two different followers (Sapherian Bibliothecary and Disciple of the Phoenix), from their mage towers (which you want to spam for mage hero capacity / recruit level anyway) and from the blue skill line of some of their lord options.
@@CultistOfkhorne Its always been that way. Main army only. Its still a decent ability if you want to stop a rampaging hero while you fix your backline but only characters from main army end up in prison
i wouldnt talk to much chit about the elven armies ive taken on 2 stacks with a single stack and won with them when they are used properly they are good and im not even a elf fan boy i mostly play chaos
Yeah, high elf armies are quite strong. They just have a bit of trouble when it comes to fighting against lots of trash units since their ammo is usually worth more, and they don't have a lot of it.
@ I don’t normally field a lot of archers with elven armies and if I do I normally try to make sure they are the archer melee mixes they have so that they can be used for a second line reinforcing line once out of ammo

Only problem with the blue line is that if you disband the lord it stops working.
Not sure if you figured out the Warden Cage Mechanic. AFAIK only Lords (maybe heroes) from the primary army NOT re-inforcing army go to prison
Yeah, I've been told, I just don't know if it's a bug or not.
