- Can selflessness be taught? This sailor has always heard the call to help others, but when he joined the Navy, he learned to let it seep into every corner of his life. Leaping into the sea to save people, while feeding the hungry on his days off, Jamison Ware is a life preserver.
I can’t even begin to express how motivating and encouraging this video is for me. Thank-you for sharing.
This is my uncle I swear to god
Inspiring and immensely motivating! I respect that they took "so that others may live" way beyond just rescue swimming...

@@americasnavy Jamison Ware is my uncle
my son just completed this very grueling and demanding training, and is now an aviation rescue swimmer in the Navy. I'm very very proud. his identical twin brother works on A-10 jets in the air force. Proud Dad.
Not all are lost of the young generation, very few like this young man anymore though sadly.
This is a man we should strive to be like, I admire you Jamison ware
Great job!Great men!Great idea!Guardians......
The sea. Its the only environment where its a leveller. And for these military to embrace that natural enviroment which can be placid one minute and then hell on earth. I respect them
Well done, protector.
This protector is my uncle
If I want to do this I’m gonna have to get into some serious shape and really swim
You can do it. Just don't quit.
I need to do this, I’ll see you there
Very well done! Very noble work.
RESPECT!
Great job
Huh, thought rescue swimmers were primarily Coast Guard, cool to see the Navy has it too which makes sense lol. What are the specifics on training for this job?
You must really want this man
it is very difficult It is grueling and it is non stop for 18 or 19 months. My son spent 18 months or maybe more during high school preparing for this, swimming, running, working out every morning at the gym, he played football and was the captain of the lacrosse team, And was offered an opportunity to play lacrosse at High Point University, but instead he wanted to save lives. I think like this young man says it all here it depends entirely upon your level of commitment. Rescue swimmers in the Navy are deployed to both land and aircraft carrier stations, and they do a lot of training, which my son found really attractive.
Worlds finest Navy
Anyone else think he looked like Adam Sandler in the caption
san diego yayayayayyayayyyayayayayyayayayayayyaayyayayayayya

I promise that this is my uncle. He is Jamison Ware. I swear to god you can ask him if Carter Lee is his nephew
That’s so cool, what’s he like?

nah jk, but weird comment

anyone know the song at the end?
If/when I get to RSS, what kind of fins will I be using?
Jacob Carr i think they use IST Rocket Fins
rocket fins
Jacob Carr who cares kick hard!
Probably rocket fins
You’ll be using the most uncomfortable either Scubapro Jet Fins or Aqualung Rocket Fins.
Awesome! But what is your RATE?
AIRR
@@shaneanderson468 Thanks mate..as a fellow Naval Air-crewman, I never realized rescue swimmers WAS the rate. All other NAC (Naval Air-crewman) in the Navy have their standard rating (I was AM2 Aviation Structural/Hydraulic Mechanic 2nd Class) and also a P-3 Orion FE (flight engineer). I suppose those SARS work hard enough to not need a second job in the Navy. Oooraahh!
Gluten Free Gam3r I’m not sure all
I know is that you get a contract with AIRR when you ship to BC I am going SO so not to sure about AIRR
@@shaneanderson468 gotcha! Best wishes through your training mate! Just remember, it's more mental than anything.
AWR or AWS
Haha calm down you're a Romeo!! How often are you actually SAR capable?
But really, keep on motivating motivator!! Great work!
Snowcat89 😂😂😂
What is a Romeo?
Snowcat89 oh plz he’s no pj
AWR aka Romeos when compared to other AW rates (AWS, AWO, AWF, AWV)
Snowcat89 those other rates don’t do rescue, do they?
