Ok I love the art style too, but, the plot. I’m honestly kind of on Jackson’s side. He went through a lot to try to raise that money for his mom, and as much as it hurt him to do that to Summer, he knew he just had to make the sacrifice, and he was also working just as hard for that money. And considering how many jobs he was working, it just started to drive him mad, but it wasn’t really his fault. He was just hurt to see his girlfriend being taken away by Aidan because of smth that *he* did. Also, there isn’t really any reasonable excuse to forget ur gf’s birthday but he was under *a lot* of stress

i feel really bad for jackson. he was really stressed because it was his literal mom, and besides summer, she was all he had in life. when she was hospitalized he panicked and went to any length to try and save her. once she agreed he started too feel jealous (understandable) while she was doing the job. summers perspective makes it seems like all he wants is money, which is true in a way, but its to save the life of his mom. imagine the guilt and heartbreak he'd feel if he hadn't raised the money and she ended up dying. not to mention, he still has to live. its just him and his mom who can't work due to her hospitilization. he'd also have to pay for many house things that adults would deal with; a lot of pressure for a teenager. then in the end he loses one of the only good things in his life. summer was supposed to be there for him through thick and thin, when he was stressed and overworked, and when he's just joking and laughing with her on the farm. instead of helping him through the time and talking to him nicely, she just ended up arguing and left him while he was at the lowest point in his life. he was angry at the end because he felt betrayed. like he was going through all of those things alone with no one to help him. she was helped by raising a large amount of money yes, but gave no emotional support. he had the weight of himself and another life, his moms at that, on his shoulder. honestly summer seems like a great friend but shes not the best with empathy or emotional support.

I really love how Jackson care about his mother. He didn't care about his feeling and so many people look down on him. But he is strong to do anything so that he can pay the bill to the hospital. However, on the other hand, Summer's behavior throughout the video is disappointing, to say the least, she only adds to his burden with her selfish actions. It's evident that she lacks empathy and compassion, and her treatment of both Jackson and Aiden is completely unjustified.
Frankly, neither Jackson nor Aiden deserve someone like Summer in their lives. She's proven herself to be manipulative, insensitive, and altogether unworthy of their affection. It's baffling how they could even consider falling for someone as toxic as her. Let's hope they both come to their senses and find someone who truly appreciates and respects them, unlike Summer.

Summer was too much of a giver and didn't think of the situation she placed herself but Jackson knew either way and didn't care if they'd kiss or not, he just lashed out for a short while. if i were him i'd search the whole town and city then to ask my own girl for such a task.
Jackson is toxic because a real boyfriend protects his girl and is out for best interest, not to use his own girl for personal gains.

Jackson also deserved a good ending. I understand that Summer felt that Jackson didn't care, but nobody's perfect. With so much stress, work, and studies, in the end, it's understandable to forget your friend's birthday. Nobody's perfect. Unless she could continue work as the friend that she is. Another thing is being his girlfriend, at this point she could cut him off, seeing that his friend did not defend him in front of others. But like I said before, no one is perfect. Perhaps Summer is braver, and Jackson has his own insecurities.

I feel like I’m on Jackson’s side. He went through a lot to help his mother and summer just left him, and honestly I would be pissed off too . I feel really bad for jackson i can really understand that he feels jealous bc of her gf flirting with aiden, and didn't even bother bc of depression and for his mom. He gave her to Aiden bc of family, he understands that family goes first. And it is really hard working with different types of jobs for his mother. And i understand what summer felt, she felt " why would jackson give me to someone just like that? does he even care for me? " yes, he cares for you. But Jackson chosed family first, he loved his mom dearly! He turned like that bc of stress or he was so stressed out of everything. But it is still not right that he gave Summer to Aiden, and Summer is something else she's kinda a green flag(my opinion) she chose what's better for her. And didn't wanna cheat bc she knows she is in a relationship, and when she knew it was wrong she decided to break up bc she knew it was gonna continue to no good. Which is good, that she knows.

Bro my heart actually broke I feel so bad for Jackson. I never feel this way for the second male lead even in kdrama, anime, or mangas. Like I’m about to actually cry he didn’t deserve it. He just wanted to save his mom and he had to work all those jobs too. Man this got me fucked up

I really don’t know who’s side to pick in the story. Jackson went through a lot. He was working multiple jobs everyday to look after his sick mother to get money for her treatment and working multiple jobs became too much for him that he was stressed. When his mother was admitted to the hospital it even got worse to the point that it could have driven him mad. He needed money for his mom’s treatment but the plan he came up with was risky. You could tell at first that Summer wasn’t on board with the idea because she knew it would hurt but she decided to help him and things really took a turn. Summer started falling for Aidan and Jackson started getting jealous and he felt summer was being taken away from him but this is where I blame Jackson. The whole plan was his idea. I get he was desperate for money but he was literally selling summer for money and it changed him. He didn’t think about how it would affect summer and all he thought about was getting the money in the end. He was really a jerk in the end. Aidan at first seemed like a spoiled rich guy but he was genuine and kind. Glad he reunited with summer in college and was able to achieve his dream as a musician.

Summer probably the less , she tried to be a good gf and help jackson but he just ditched her which is understandable since he was desperate to save his mom but isn't an excuse, Aiden even tho was under soo much pressure he still made fun of Jackson and bullied him ( I know he didn't mean to )
But he didn’t even privately apologize to him but again I get it , he was afraid of his family

I thought Aidan is gonna give me some second male lead syndrome however he was the MAIN character. And I feel so bad for Jackson. Things just don't go always good in life, his decision is understandable but it's not really a good call and also he made mistakes along the way. I guess feelings do change in time. I'm glad Aidan and Summer starts their slow burn love story for real. I just wish for Jackson to be able to find the happiness in life he also deserve.
Yeah. I'm kinda bored of the whole best friend falls for girl but then another guy appears that's kinda a jerk at first. Then the best friend turns out to be a jerk and the other guy gets with the girl. They have done this a couple if not many times now. I love "enemies " to lovers but I just want to see something different now. Mabey the first guy gets with the girl for once? And not always the second guy....

Although most of Jackson's actions were understandable, it also felt like they turned him toxic for the sake of the story, because I feel like if they hadn't done so, they could have very easily made the story in favour of jackson, showing that he is stressed and showing that he knows his mistakes. Although really do imagine all that stress on your shoulders. He just wanted his mom back. and to see his gf falling in love with someone else broke his heart beyond repair.
