I think it's more of recognition then acknowledgement, recognition of what he witnessed from a young age that still is hurting him and just needing someone to talk to when he feels like that but both his wife and mother are "hard", so he can't and that's what he wants from both.

Scrappy has been putting up with Momma Dee’s antics for so long because that’s his mother and he loves her. But I’m glad to see Scrappy confronting his mother because she had no idea all the trauma he had to face. No parent does until the child grows up and confronts them.
Im just glad he confronted mama dee about his trauma. Now he cannot throw this in her face anymore now that he told her it’s her fault he is the way he is. He is an adult now and have the ability to change and get help on his own. One of my friends told his mama she better be thankful he not strung out on drugs, dead or in jail. Confronted her about a lot of things then let it go and got help.

This was one of the most realist raw moment of this show. Scrappy needed for her to hear and see his pain. The trauma he endured as it was how she knew to survive then. No matter his age he and his sister will carry this with them but hopefully the weight of it that was suffocating them can be eliminated from releasing this to her. So true. I’m hard and my husband suffers emotionally from it. I have a fear he will leave me for another woman that will give him what I can’t emotionally. To be fair I feel like he changed me into that person. He had caused a lot of harm emotionally in the past and it’s been years but my guard is up and the resting bitch mask is on. He is an adult now and have the ability to change and get help on his own. One of my friends told his mama she better be thankful he not strung out on drugs, dead or in jail. This shit hit so hard especially when you can relate to the pain. I give scrap his flowers because it takes a big person to express their pain. Its not easy to do keep ya head up scrap and everyone dealing with parent issues

Childhood trauma is real. As parents, we must provide safe places and peaceful spaces for our children to grow up in and thrive rather than just survive. May God continue to bless Scrappy for his stance and openness. He has throw his transparency, made a way for so many men and women to receive the healing they need through the avenues God has provided for them.
I respect Scrappy. I feel terrible for all that's been through. Some parents don't realize all the traumatic experiences that their children go through in different aspects of their lives. This almost had me in tears. 🙏
I completely agree with him and ALOT OF moms out here are going to go through a reckoning from their kids who are now adults, who have to heal from the traumas of their childhood!!!!! He is leading his family as he should, take care, peace and blessings!!!

I'm glad our generation is understanding we need therapy from actual trauma. Some of us had parents that tried to gaslight us into believing that we're exaggerating our sadness and pain. It's a cycle that needs to end but only God will fix this wicked world.

That's the problem with blk community, no one ever blames the mothers when they do wrong by their children! No child should ever grow up in a "wh0re or trap house" and from the clips that I saw from her parenting "skills" are very questionable.
