- Hallowfest at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ kicks off TONIGHT (September 18th) and runs through November 1st. Hallowfest might look different than Fright Fest in 2020 with COVID restrictions, but there is still a ton for your entire family to enjoy! Aside from all of the normal rides, attractions, food and entertainment that Six Flags offers throughout the year, find out what special things are happening during Hallowfest (Fright Fest) and how you can join the festivities! I'm bringing the inside scoop on show, haunted mazes, kids entertainment, and everything in between.
I used to go to six flags every two weeks with my mother who passed away a yeare ago and this reminded me of her so... thank you we loved fright fest

Who much is it? Do I get to go on any ride or only the holloween parts??
Your park ticket allows you to go on all of the rides and enjoy the entertainment like the street performers and trick or treat trail. It is an extra $20 to go through the haunted mazes.

Yay!! I’ve never gone to this before so I can’t wait for your video. Have fun tonight!! I really appreciate that you give helpful tips for families - very helpful. Can you please let us know if the park will still close at 7 during this event? I’ve been trying to decide if I want to make the 3 hour drive or not, lol.
Park is open 5pm-10pm every Friday, and 2pm-10 pm every Saturday and Sunday. I think October 12th, a Monday, is also open 12-9pm. These hours will go through until November 1st.
Hmm.... It is open later, so the night rides are great! If your kids are intimidated by the scary parts, there are a lot more areas without “scareactors”. It’s all around less intimidating this year. So it could be the perfect year to try it out, but it will likely be crowded the whole time, so I’m not sure it’s worth the 3 hour trek. Hope that helps a bit!

To be honest, ive gotten by with just a sweatshirt past years during Holidays in the park.
Went tonight with just a sweatshirt and was freezing. Dropped down to 47 degrees. Weathermen are never right smh.
I'd bring a jacket and hat just in case. Can always leave in the car and get later.

Hallowfest meaning that scaractors are included in your ticket right? I just bought mine and I wasn't sure.
You're correct! There are 5 scare zones set up throughout the park and they are loaded with scareactors, "cirque" performers, and decorations/animatronics. The haunted mazes are a separate fee though and passes can be purchased in the park.
Great Adventure Guide okay thanks for that! Do you know when the park actually opens and closes? My ticket is for 1:30 on a Sunday. But I’m not sure if the park is open early? I just want to be there as long as possible
Baedahboo Yeah, they don’t make that clear at all. The park still opens at 2, but they should open the booths where you show your parking pass by 1:30 and they should open the front gates shortly after. Sometimes certain coasters can be open early as well like Nitro and Superman.

Hey Dan I will be going to Six flags on October 11 with family and have already purchased and reserved tickets. I was wonder do I also have to buy a parking ticket in advance as well? And also I'm interested in going to all four maze's. I was wondering where can I be able to purchase the tickets for the maze's? Online or at the park itself at the tickets Booth's?
Jaeho4ever great questions. You do need to pay for parking beforehand, but I do not believe there is an option to buy the maze passes before hand. There may be an exception for certain members, but otherwise you just purchase them there. There are a few kiosks spread out throughout the park, but the main one is right next to the mirror maze, across from the Ferris wheel. Hope you guys have a fun trip!!

Question: is that pathway connecting The Golden Kingdom and Plaza se Carnival closed? Because I remember last year they closed it for a maze
therock238360 that is correct. The que for Mama’s house is in that “Animal Walkway” cut through, so you’ll have to go out towards the boardwalk section to get around, or you have to go through mama’s house which starts on the El Toro side and spits you out towards Kingda Ka.

Yup! All your favorites should be open except Houdini's Great Escape. I'll give a full update on how to best tackle everything Hallowfest has to offer after I go tonight!
