Thank You. I had a new install which was wobbling. I tried the weight balance kit and after a few hours of up/down the ladder I decided it was time to find an easier way. Your video prompted me to double check my work. Sure enough, I had one blade which had not been fully tightened. The fan is much happier now. Thumbs up!
Wow!!! I did not realize that when I clean the ceiling fans blades that they can get loose. I did find the culprit, tightened it and it's steady now.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼thank you😀
Damn, years off and on trying to center my ceiling fan... Your first first recommendation fixed my years long problem. So glad this video was recommended by Google
OMG Thank you! I didn't realize that the blade attachments could come loose, over time and cleaning them , makes sense; didn't even think of looking under the fan- had to remove light kit too, it was easy at the center attachments (and not the twisted ends).
GREAT VIDEO!!! The only issue I have with this video is the weight that was used. Those weights are usually held on with a fairly strong glue. However, that glue WILL FAIL eventually, and the centrifugal force of the ceiling fan will send that weight flying across the room when it does fail. It may be a small weight, but it can easily break a window if you're unlucky enough. A couple of very short screws can easily take the place of those weights and do a better job of staying in place. However, if you DO use those weights, just make sure you check them from time to time to make sure the glue is not failing.
Thank you, note when using weight kit, after finding the best blade, slide the clip near or away from center to get the best to perfect balance. Then add the weight were the clip is...
problem solved. my landlord is an idiot and this video helped me fix a ceiling fan that was assembled improperly. It was swinging since the first day he put it in and he told me it was because of something in the ceiling. It was one of your simple fixes and now I can't stop worrying about it swinging wildly and making so much noise.
After just spending an hour with a fan balancing kit -- thinking it was fixed as good as could be expected -- I found it wobbling AGAIN! I am going to take a screwdriver to it and inspect the assembly. Also, I do have one blade that is just a tad loose... I suppose it could be enough to cause a wobble. IDK.
I have similar blades that have no ready access to the screws that hold the brackets to the housing. I wish you would have shown how you removed the light housing to get to the screws. That was the key to the project and you didn't video it.

10/10. Haven't fixed my fan but gave me more information than just buy a balancing kit. I'm sure I can fix my vibration issue easily now
Loose fan blades here- now running smoothly! Thanks for the vid.
Thank you so so much. Your video was very much to the point and exactly what I needed to fix my ceiling fan! Thank you once again!
thanks! I have watched many youtube videos and yours was the only one mentioned checking that the downrod is in the slot. Fixed! :)

Great video, helped me fix my ceiling fan
Just exactly what I was looking for... the part where the ball by the ceiling was loose

Why are you watching this video if you know that???....

Very helpful! Thanks for sharing
yayy
1 minute to inspect, 1 minute to fix It. Thank you.
The way mine is sealed in, it's 30 minutes to insect, 1 hour to fix
@@dflaming1371 I'm hoping that ain't my problem.. it might be lol
Thank you Sir!! Quick fix!
Thank you, I was wondering why my fan was shaking, and it was the ceiling fans blades was loose.

Super helpful! Thanks!
Thank you, very helpful

Thank you
That getting string getting down 💃🏽
Helpful!!
I love you...r video. 🙂
🙂
Thanks
My ceiling fan shakes on high and medium but not on low
I realized that I just had to switch the reverse and it's all better. Barely any swing 😂
If you don't fix the issue, will it come loose and fall .......
How do you remove the light fixture? Is it just as simple as removing the screws that hold it in place? Any wires i would need to disconnect?
Thaaaank you 🤗
what brand of fan is that it looks nice
That fan is a Westinghouse swirl.
Euro swirl
Thanks worked
You did not at all explain the balancing process.
Is it a thing to worry about??
Not really.
It’s wobbly too
My clumsiness mysteriously drops the fan which I didn't know what I do
Not enough to show how to fix blade
i don't mind wobbly fans. as long as they're not dangerous.
They send me into a full blown panic attack! 🤣
They can be noisy though.
I do mind. They keep me up at night, even over a box fan making noise
Me moving the fan scared it will fall

Went to clean my fan blades with a damp paper towel, and now the fan won't even turn on!
Something must have been pretty wrong with the fan if doing a trivial cleaning task affected it.
