Update 2: I gently scraped the battery connectors as it looked like there was a little rust. Now the remote is working again. I guess if pressing buttons like in the video doesn’t work, then try scraping/sanding the battery connectors next if there’s any sign of rust or corrosion on them?

Your video help me test all the buttons and I found that one of the number buttons was actually stuck! Once I loosened it worked perfectly! This worked for me! I was just about to try and take my remote apart until I found this video. I tried it just for the heck of it and it worked!! Before, all I could do was use the power, menu digital directional and exit buttons. Volume, channel select and others were not responsible for a number for 2 years. Now it works!! Just for the hell of it again, I'm going to do this process one more time to ensure all cobwebs in the remote are removed. Thank you, WorldofTech. You saved my remote. EDIT: 6th Feb - Ah. Looks like the solution is temperamental. My remote went back to the way it was again. I wonder what else can be done. The method works but it's not the definitive solution, it seems. Interesting.
Amazing! I had dropped the remote and heard something shaking in the remote and it no longer worked. A couple of the buttons were depressed from falling and I tried the squeezing AND finally clicked into place and it worked!!!!!!! Stunned and very happy!!!!! Thank you!!😀😀😀

My guy I don’t know what kind of voodoo you made me do but I was totally sure this was bull, totally worked. If it’s still not working after a couple times the trick for me was to unplug my tv entirely, then when I plugged it back in everything was synced, thank you friend!!!

Well it worked briefly. Then the remote stopped working again. I tried this method several times. I can’t get it to work again. Oh well.

Done that and noticed that the wire where the batteries touch were rusty. So I cleaned them and the remote worked!👍
