I wish more Speedrunners could bring this amount of charisma and entertainment to their videos. A lot of them do the run and let the run speak for itself, but I love the in depth walk throughs of what's happening and the thought processes behind it. Knowing the hows and whys behind a run add a lot of value beyond just watching the game get done fast.

I think tomatoanus (yeah a special name) deserves some credit there. Not as energetic as Atrioc, but has some great humor, and showcases speedruns very well while going into details on the mechanics.
Cuz Im just too lazy to explain things, because speedrun strats are really hard to explain to someone who doesnt understand a single thing about it
Karl Jobst does some amazing videos on speed running. He explains lots of details and his videos showing the progression made on certain levels over decades are a worth watching.
These vids are the most fun I've had watching let's plays in a while. IO Interactive really deserves props for making such an immersive game and atrioc for translating that immersion into RUclips content. Good eats 👍
Absolutely. Speed runs are trapped in the early 20-teens and days of early lets plays and GDQ where its just a 20 hour long gameplay vid that was shat out onto the inteenet with very little actual substance or "content" besides just a raw video. Editors really touch it up.

There's not many people that can do a speedrun. It's even less so for people that can explain the speedrun in entertaining way. This guy is a true gem.
I would disagree on the first point, *anyone* can do a speedrun, just play your favorite game fast. I would say not everyone could get a speedrun world record though.
We need atrioc on GDQ explaining a hitman run. He'd kill it

@@LEW95alo additionally, the hitman runs are super technically complex and very flashy, they're exciting to watch. Linkus has run at GDQs many times, so he could run, and he and Atrioc could commentate the run

I’ll be honest I’ve tried Hitman and like it but never got super deep into it and never beat any games. I can easily see why people love it and it’s amazing.
But even without my love for the franchise I am just stuck watching your videos on the speed runs.
While you in yourself are entertaining, I think it’s also your very in-depth explanation, visual examples/showcases and editing skills that makes it so entrancing, easy to watch and understand even without a full appreciation and love for the Hitman franchise.
Great work I’m binging this series.
I don’t know if you’re into this kind of thing for other franchises but I would watch any explain/breakdown of speed runs of any gaming franchise you do.

The new Hitman games are some of the best games out there, the guided opportunities offer a fun experience for casual players while the game has a skill ceiling so high that this is what experts of the game can do.

4:22 is truly a new level of narcissism from Atrioc. He's commenting over the top of a video of him watching himself play the game. There are 3 levels of Atrioc audio compiled into one hyper distilled masterpiece:
The commentary in layer 2 followed by the "I'm so cracked" in layer 0, then the Atrioc giggle in layer 1, and another laugh followed by more commentary in layer 2.

such an unusual game mechanic that if a toilet is in use they go to find an empty one, because if i want to go to the toilet and someone's in there i usually kick the door in and crap on the person.
tbh it gets me in quite a bit of trouble so i may adopt this odd approach shown by the npc's in future.

Love your vid! How do you get freelook cam? Wish they let people mod the game, would love to mix up the levels some more, spent like $150 on all Hitman1+2, but won't buy Hitman3 if they don't open it up a little more so I can enjoy it to the fullest.
