Wait, wait, wait the 8700F and 8400F is referred to as APUs in the WCCFTech Article.... but only CPUs with integrated Graphics are called APUs by AMD?? Edit: Lookng at the facts here and it appears the price differential is due to the new node being used. I don't think AMD is willing to squeeze the retailers any more than they already are - I do think they should have dropped the price for 7000 series for at least 2 months before they launched the 8000 series so the pricing at least makes some sort of sense for the average laymen. Edit 2: Adding my initial reaction - Looks like AMD's marketing has started smoking whatever Intel has been smoking for awhile now - 9:50 that slide is very deliberately misleading as that GPU element does not exist for the 8700F. Also the 8700F has the new swanky "AI" engine so that'd explain the premium abit there as the 8400F is priced reasonably.
Monitors Unboxed admitted he really struggled to find any difference between using DSC and Display port 2.1. All that crying over 40 series using DP 1.4 for nothing

Yo so I got the 7800x3d earlier on Amazon for 320 dollars. It had thermal paste on it still so I cleaned it but in the process used a broken in half bamboo toothpick to get under the ihs. I think it lightly scratched the side of a die. I don’t have a pc ready to test it. Is it damaged? I can’t really tell when shining a light on it.
AMD has generally been offering great products with equally good advertisement for a while, but I guess it can't be great all the time. They've done this kind of almost deceptive plays before. Guess you can't just expect them to do the right thing all the time. Think of the money, and all that.
hasn't this been true with the Ryzen 3100 and 3100X also with the 5600X3d and 5700X3d these were all failed to pass QC chips that AMD kept and then sold when the numbers reached a certain level. I mean the Ryzen 3100 and 3100X were failed Ryzen 3600 then the 5600X3d and 5700X3d were just failed 5800X3d now that don't mean they are broken its likely that they have crappy silicon and were just not able to clock high enough or is not stable enough at the needed voltage its not like Intel hasn't done it as well where do you think all those Pentiums and Celerons come from and these are indeed garbage that neither company doesn't wanna waste the only reason AMD takes a while to come out with these is because TSMC yield are so good that they rarely get bad chips.
In my area the pricing makes sense. 8700F is 225€, 14400F is 211€. The name can be misleading, but renaming the 8700G without graphics to a 7700F would be even worse. You have to look up what you are buying but at least you don't get Alder Lake CPUs rebranded as 13th or even "14th" gen CPUs.
I'm so tired of all of these people who just trash and complain about everything. And your never held accountable for the harm you do. All that matters is getting your social media engagement. It's popular to trash the only PC part complain that's not trying to take every dollar possible out of your pocket. AMD don't pay you to trash there competition. So it's a win win for you. When you say the 5700x was trash and it quickly become the best gaming cpu available. You basically did the same video as this one for the 5800x3d. We all know how that turned out. But it's not just you. Not 1 of you said 1 good thing about the 6700xt. 3 years later it's still the best gpu for the money.
Los 8000F se deberían haber vendido más adelante, al día de hoy con AM4 vivo se solapan precios de gamas de diferentes Tiers de las dos diferentes plataformas. "Creo" Buen análisis en el vídeo!!!!!!
The NPU in this CPUs completely useless. You need a graphics card for display output, when using this CPUs, and if you have at least gtx 1650, you will most likely get better performance in any AI workload using GPU than with that NPU.
About the F CPUs, pricing wise, it is simply their launch MSRP price and they probably want it to align with their other Zen4 CPU pricing so it doesn't disturb the current pricing structure. I wouldn't be surprised if it is going to be discounted soon enough. From company perspective it is better to offer discount instead of lowering the launch MSRP. FYI, the current pricing for 7700 in my country (with tax etc) is around $360 and 8700F is $320. 7600 is $226, 7500F is $193, 8500G is $210 and 8400F is $206. I do agree that AMD shouldn't compare 8700F with 14400F since it is not anywhere near in the same price class even without discounted price. For me, instead of 8700F I would just buy 8600G. It has less core, but cheaper and with 8CU GPU. If I just want a CPU for gaming then I would just buy 7600 or even 7500F. If I'm in the market for 8core Zen4 CPU for whatever reason, if the budget is not tight, I would buy 7700 instead. Only if I want 8core Zen4 and the budget is tight or I really want to play around with the NPU while also having an 8core CPU, then 8700F does make sense. As for 8400F I don't see why it should exist at that price point. For a bit more money, might as well buy 8500G or 7500F.
Nothing new Nvidia, AMD or Intel, all of them have a history of bull sh12 marketing and yes this looks like a lemon of CPU at this price point my advice do your homework

I've been running AMD cpu's a long time now (more than a decade), but I'm still checking tco/tctb before building a machine and seeing what I get for my $$$. 5900x for $260?
21% cheaper.
Slightly better single-core effective value.
Moderately better average multithreading performance, around +20%.
+4 more cores.
+8 more threads.
+48 MB L3 Cache.
AI has been around from 2009 you have not used it since social media made it popular so whoosh.
5900x has 2 chiplets means you have 2 32MB. So this Cache comparison is a bit missleading.
But anyways, a better comparison: in germany currently you pay 27€ more and you get the 7800X3D instead of the 7800F. Lmao
@@AlienGurke never thought of it like that. Makes sense now
What if AMD was called FreakMD and instead of making tech theyre rizzing gyatts
Also the 8700F has the new swanky "AI" engine so that'd explain the premium abit there as the 8400F is priced reasonably.
they probably gonna cut the price pretty fast but try to pull some profit of people that dont know better before that
SNAKE OIL !!! GET YOUR SNAKE OIL FROM AMD !!! INTEL IS RIGHT
AMD said F it, can't sell Gpu's lets dump the cpu's to.
Thats nice, wake me when we have decent games again and not bs. The last decent game to come out recently is Baldur's Gate 3.
time to wake up brother, predecessor patch on Tuesday
I really like AMDs marketing. They already telling us to buy these products later when they cut prices and realized they Fd up, AGAIN..
8000 f series as in big f in chat for whoever buys them
my i3 10100f was 69.99 200.00 less lets figure the price to performance on it.
Monitors Unboxed admitted he really struggled to find any difference between using DSC and Display port 2.1. All that crying over 40 series using DP 1.4 for nothing
I'm still rocking my ryzen 5600x. Honestly, I have zero reason to upgrade to the am5 at the moment.
I’m keeping my 5800x and rtx3080
8700F is comparable to 7600(X) which is available for ~200€/$.
Or you can get 7500f for cca €120-150, get full cache and sacrifice that basic 2cu iGPU and maybe 5% of performance for a decent discount.
Ye, i was just looking into 8700G/F and 7700 and came to the conclusion that 7700 is better value. :v
this difference you will have with 4090, another cheapest GPU will give you NO difference
You just know T2/Rockstar will release a barely functional no effort port of Red Dead a year after it's already been available on consoles.
Bigger number better!
4K 240Hz?
Can a 4090 even manage that?
With DLSS Performance maybe.
AMD needs to sell their CPUs at a higher price because their graphics cards are NOT selling. Everyone knows to ignore graphs from the manufacturers in general.
i got a 7600x and a 7900xtx and its overkill for a casual like me 🤷♂️
Disappoint at AMD since the expensive APU and without GPU's APU released
the bench marks will be interesting ahahhaaha, all youre getting is efficiency from 4nm and AI.
Lol not even AI ironically, the Ryzen 8000 non F series is the one that has great AI support since it contain RDNA3 igpu which has Matrix accelerator unlike these igpu less Ryzen 8000F series since currently the XDNA NPU is only useful for small worthless mundane tasks
Is APUs? Please stop pairing plural nouns with “is”.
I don't know why this channel takes 8000F seriously .....what's the point?? basically the 8000F just the answer of 14400F ....that's all..
0:01 a few gays ago?
amd got so big they made their cpus more expensive with barely any change, just turning into intel now
Seems like Ryzen 4000
LuDaShi in AMD official AD LMAO
I was literally seeing an AMD post on instagram when i got the notification 😮
Not paying $300+ for chair
Almost everything promoted by youtubers is just complete bullshit and you can buy similar or better things for less. It’s just marketing.
The 8000F series is terrible value... Better buy a Ryzen 7 7700 which has a boost clock of 5.3GHz!!!
I bought a new 7700 tray (without cooler) one for only €176,-
Can we do something about the dumb consumers that make the kind of assinine things these companies pull even remotely viable? They're holding us all back
Yo so I got the 7800x3d earlier on Amazon for 320 dollars. It had thermal paste on it still so I cleaned it but in the process used a broken in half bamboo toothpick to get under the ihs. I think it lightly scratched the side of a die. I don’t have a pc ready to test it. Is it damaged? I can’t really tell when shining a light on it.
Looks like the 8700 F is dead on arrival
DANKE JÜRGEN 😢
In my area the pricing makes sense. 8700F is 225€, 14400F is 211€.
The name can be misleading, but renaming the 8700G without graphics to a 7700F would be even worse.
You have to look up what you are buying but at least you don't get Alder Lake CPUs rebranded as 13th or even "14th" gen CPUs.
8000f series only has x8 lane for the gpu. Becareful.
Such an awful misleading naming scheme for the whole 7000 and 8000 line. Terrible job from amd.
3 years later it's still the best gpu for the money.
why is this 269???? should be 189.99 or 179.99.... it is 4nm but i doubt it makes a huge difference
Oh no!
a few gays ago!
You are the best Daniel!
Los 8000F se deberían haber vendido más adelante, al día de hoy con AM4 vivo se solapan precios de gamas de diferentes Tiers de las dos diferentes plataformas. "Creo"
Buen análisis en el vídeo!!!!!!
As much as I respect AMD. They really been smoking crack with how they be pricing some of their products lately.
The NPU in this CPUs completely useless. You need a graphics card for display output, when using this CPUs, and if you have at least gtx 1650, you will most likely get better performance in any AI workload using GPU than with that NPU.
Looks like AMD is the new intel
Thought the same to myself at about minute 3.
AMD always gets way too drunk way too soon on their success to grow as a company.
Have been since the 5000 series. AMD is not your friend. Might even be worse than Intel if given the opportunity.
There's just no reason to buy these at these prices
I mean this thing have been going for ages, remember 2200g and 2400g is zen arc and 3200g 3400g is only zen+ arc.
this isnt has bad as thew entire 13th and 14th gen stack losing crazy performance lol
What game(s) do you play?
Should be $50 cheaper.
Let's wait for 9000 series
Here we go again with amd making trash prices at launch.
AM4 is lookin more and more attractive every passing day 😊
AMD's biggest issue is motherboard prices. Drop those 20%.
Because of PCI 5.0 they don`t come down… and next gen motherboards are more expensive.
Try to find PCI 3.0 motherboard if you want to have cheap motherboard.
@@haukionkannel I have pcie 4.0 MB's that were about $100. No reason for pcie-5 to make a less capable MB cost 50%+ more. a few dollars more. And AM5 mbo's are more expensive than their other identical lga 1700 boards. I've been running AMD cpu's a long time now (more than a decade), but I'm still checking tco/tctb before building a machine and seeing what I get for my $$$. If they don't fix their bad mb pricing then Intel has a chance Assuming next gen isn't such power hungry unstable beasts and MB default settings are required to be sane.
Keep CoD if it'll cause a price hike, couldn't care less compared to hundreds of other games on it.
he said 69 without a nice. Who are you and what did you do to daniel.
I’m just gonna wait until the Ryzen 10 10000X
If the tiers go up in price...after 2 months of gamepass you could just outright by the game in question. Better yet, what games are gonna be put in these tiers? So far just COD, unless they take away games that were previously released on the basic version. Lol. Xbox is doomed
LMAO ,, AMD being shifty AGAIN ,, but all the fan-twerps will still say they are SAVIOURS
its an am5 platform . its ddr 5 its cheaepr than conpetition . its irrelevent what you say . because price > beats anything you might say
Most times their marketing just don’t make sense. The 8700f should be compared to the 14500 which is the closest price competitor. Also with the gpu disabled it is no longer an APU.
Apparently there is a file in ghosts of tshuima for fsr 3.1 so perhaps they are just getting ready for it
