When I first laid eyes on Victoria... started crying! ❤My boyfriend came over to check on me, and when he realized I was crying over a doll - he didn't ask what is wrong with me, he didn't roll his eyes... No. He smiled, gave me a big hug and said "you're so cute I can't believe you're real! Let me buy it for you!" Did that make me cry even harder? Yes it did. Will I marry him one day soon? Yes I will. Obviously.

I love how they're exploring more neutral/desaturated colors. It's not as saturated as previous lines and I'm here for it.
I'm excited for Kim and Michelle the most. But I love Aidan too! His eyebrows, his facesculpt, I love him! He's hated to much fr!
Agreed I love earth tone colors like olive, forest green, navy, burgundy and I like some bright neon here and there so this line is for me definitely my favorite along with series 4
Victoria is like the Delilah of series 5 in the sense that she’s just as✨PERFECT✨ as her💕💕.

Series 4 gave us deep burgundy/maroon red. I’m sure we will get more red sometime soon. Perhaps a terracotta red or cherry red.

Thank you for loving the blushing on the budget dolls!!! I’ve heard so many complaints about too much blush and I’m here loving it. We’ve had super intense eye makeup (and lipstick) since day 1. I am so here for those rosy cheeks!!!
Victoria is easily my new favorite in the entire expanse of RH/SH. (Sorry Delilah & Daphne). I’ve been dying for more soft feminine designs that aren’t “Barbie core/glam” and MGA delivered. Give me ruffles, lace, florals, soft colors, delicate details, full skirts and demure aesthetics all day long. My only criticism is that I’d have preferred the skirt to be a little longer so we could have more of that fluffy, full, ruffled goodness.
The rest of the series is phenomenal as well:
I adore the lip color on Kim but her eye makeup is a little heavy for my personal preference. I also feel like the denim is underwhelming since Skyler was also head to toe denim. Navy is such a versatile shade and they could have done so much more with it: like sailor inspired preppy clothing with white piping trim and gold buttons, a 70s inspired navy colored jumpsuit with an oversized collar, evening sky themed outfit, and where are our Vietnamese inspired details!? Perhaps a high collar or other traditional Vietnamese clothing detail mixed into modern soothing elements, some subtle Vietnamese design motifs or even Vietnamese lettering. I do like the combo of navy and black though.
Olivia Woods is gorgeous but I HATE camo and I feel like it’s also a bit of an obvious/lazy choice to go straight to camo for a doll that’s green. At least it’s more of a loose interpretation of “camo” than it could be. I would have loved to see something cheeky like literal olive theming - okay not for children but like martini olives would be so campy, or even have her be Italian and themed after olive trees, branches, fruit, and olive oil. She could be in culinary arts. I mean her name is Olivia WOODS and we have zero tree design elements. Seems like a lost opportunity.
Priscilla also disappoints compared to her concept art. Don’t get me wrong, she’s gorgeous, but where’s our divine flared midi skirt!? Also, flamingos come in so many shades of pink and salmon. I would have liked to see them play more within that color palette instead of having her be so monotone. Coral is one of my favorite colors but this shade of pink isn’t quite coral and isn’t quite hot pink. If we want to give her the last name of Perez then let’s lean into it and make her fully Chilean like the Chilean flamingo - I feel like the concept art gave us more of that vibe but it got lost somewhere in translation to the produced doll.
Aiden is cute and I like the color palette,but his outfit could have more personality and why are his shorts so long? They read middle aged dad going golfing, not fashion maven. They could have just given us so much more for him. I appreciate that they keep making boys, but Why do the OMG/Tween boys hit their stride so well but the RH/SH boys fall so flat? Speaking of LOL, you spelling out F.A.G. Made me laugh because I suddenly invisioned an entire LOL line with that name and it could be so fabulous.
Michelle: once again the dark skinned girl is assigned the sporty look 🙄. However, she is absolutely gorgeous and the execution is done well (those boots are drool-worthy). Orange isn’t a color I love and neither is the sporty aesthetic, so I don’t really feel I’m in a place to give this doll a fair critique, but I do appreciate the shorter hair (though I would have preferred textured hair) and her brown eyes are stunning.
Overall, this is such a strong lineup despite my little criticisms and there isn’t a single one I won’t look forward to owning.
In my Victoria veneration, I forgot to mention that in addition to being so grateful for her fashion aesthetic, I’m in love with the freckles, super fair skin, more subtle makeup (especially her detailed lip makeup), and the BROWN eyelashes!!! She’s just so beyond what I would ever expect from a play line doll.
But RIP second outfits. The accessories are not doing it for me. At least give us handbags and stuff to put in the handbags instead of random reused accessories. And the inclusion of hangers so front and center on the packaging seems there just to taunt us.

I HATE HATE HATE the makeup pallets and brushes, I agree with burning them. However, I love the sunglasses and phones and the drinks are kind of cool.
I’m super excited for series 5. Victoria, Olivia and Kim are the dolls I’m looking forward to the most. I’m also sick of some of the accessories and don’t understand why they still include the hangers. They made sense when there was a second outfit you could hang up when not on the doll. Now they are just a bunch of plastic to take up space in my house (or a landfill if I were to throw them out).

@@Keralasha444 Sure. I think my problem is that I have so many dolls that I have nowhere to hang the clothes anyway. I have 2 of the closets plus 2 of the hanging racks filled and still more clothes stored away in bags and boxes.

Kim: Why does everyone hate on Skyler for being a blue girl in denim, but rave about Kim who is also a blue girl in denim? Maybe when I see her in person I’ll get it, but right now she’s just not doing it for me
Orange (can’t remember her name!): Reminds me VERY much of Meena, only less good
Overall: A few high points (mostly Victoria) but overall not nearly at the same level as series 4 or even 3. A bit disappointing, especially after SH series 2 was so phenomenal.

Tinsel sucks I noticed it got tangled in the roller of my new vacuum. I want someone to take Aiden give him long hair and dress him in the girl's clothes.

4. Aiden ( sooooo cute... he will probably go everywhere with me just because ♥)
5. Priscilla ( I like her but not a lot. She just has a lot going on and the only reason I like her is because of her face but she still cute)

I love all these new series 5 dolls! I think they are perfect. Even the accessories! Also good idea with the budget dolls for eye swaps or customs. I did one custom and I got parts cheap on Aliexpress cause I don’t have the heart to custom a brand new beautiful doll. Lol

I think because she’s wearing denim I thought to myself that you’d like her as much as Skyler (ok maybe a LITTLE more than Skyler)! 😝 I was also surprised about the green one! I thought she’d become your favourite green doll!

All series 2 shadow high are fashion focus and boxes say "they're coming for the runway" enter series 5 of rainbow high...and some are fashion designers that come with sewing machines...so we are getting rainbow vision all over again except this time its the battle of the runway....opening the door for the next series of dolls "the runway divas" set to be released later this year .. or next week with the speed mga are releasing these dolls lol 😆

I'm pretty new to RH/SH dolls, and since I'm not a completionist, I won't be getting all of these. Not interested in the budget dolls, and I only want Victoria and Priscilla from this new series. I had heard, and it may not be true, that Priscilla is not actually Latina, but a Spaniard; from Spain. The light skin would then make sense. We were friends with a family from Spain when I lived in Texas and they had a son who was the only one with very light skin and a light reddish hair. We asked them about that because I wasn't familiar with the varieties of skin tones that they could have. They told me that it is very common for full blood Spaniards to have light skin and various other hair colors. Anyhoo, if she is supposed to be a Spaniard, it does make more sense. I do agree with you that the dress should be longer and more like the artwork. I'm tired of nothing but mini skirts and mermaid dresses on these dolls. Thanks for the video :)
It looks like the budget RHs only have 1 hair color (no blends).
The more recent photos I've seen of Priscilla are so pretty. Victoria is my fave though. I don't like how Michelle has so much teeth showing. I like thr colour green of Olive and her freckles. But I wish she had darker skin. She looks quite fair in the latest photos I've seen
All I know that Kim and the pink girl is opposites what mean Kim is going to have mean personality and pink girl is not

Ok yeah we got some mass differences. To me all the budget dolls are just a shittier version than what we already got. Also while nothing is confirmed that price will actually be higher at $14. For dolls who have shorter hair with less rooting most likely and no articulation in the limbs. Quite frankly they're shit.
Priscilla Perez is not an ugly pink girl and she my fav of the whole fucking line lol. Also while Priscilla is different than her art, she's not even the worst criminal of not following her original art that dishonor goes to Kim. She's supposed to be flamingo pink and I love it. Michelle I didn't like at first but better pictures of her have boosted her up for me. Aiden is fine. I don't like a lot of boy dolls and he's ok. From the neck down I absolutely hate Kim. Olivia is cool that's as best as I'd say. I was not a fan of Delilah so based on the art I thought it wud be Delilah 2.0 but no, and shes actually good she has a different vibe going on. Also its cool u got Rochelle goyle out of this too when I saw her face up close and saw how speckled she was I was like aw she's a gargoyle lol. The only thing I don't like are the shoes but that's easy enough to fix
I loved priscilla's sketch. It read so cuban Miami to me (maybe because i associate flamingos with miami and miami with cubans but who knows). I'm kinda disappointed by her. She's underwhelming to me.
