This is only the second time I have offered the following comment: Just found your channel. What I have seen is really worthwhile information and well presented. There is so much craziness and aimless chatter out there on RUclips it is always good to find knowledgeable and coherent people with their feet firmly grounded in reality..
I always considered a woman's purse to be the worst option to carry a gun. First of all that purse might be the actual target of the bad guy and second it takes ages to get to the gun. As you said there is usually just 7 feet between her and the bad guy. No way she'll unzip her purse and reach for the gun before the guy realizes what's going on and takes the purse away from her by force. I'm carrying a blank gun with me (the only guns we can carry in Germany and it's loaded with CS and pepper cartridges) and I use an in the waistband holster. That's the best option in my opinion.
Gentlemen, thank you for your efforts in producing videos. Please keep up the good work. In times such as this your voice has gained volume, and remember, you speak for us. thank you for what you are doing. Long Live Moss Pawn!
I love to carry my Glock 20 in a Simply Rugged holster. This allows either a strong side carry or a cross draw carry. I carry this in a cross draw manner in the woods, at a trout stream, or traveling in a car. Cross draw is outstanding while seated in a car. This is a large rig. I am 6'4" and 270 pounds. I can wear a size tall denim shirt and it conceals quite well when I go into town for lunch or dinner. I would normally carry my G 26 in town but, the G 20 can be concealed in a pinch.
Bulk is one thing, weight is another. I carried a full-size P89 IWB, OWB, and Shoulder, and regardless of how I carried it, after a few hours it was uncomfortable. Switching to a lighter, polymer frame sub-compact 9mm made all the difference in comfort. Pocket carry for my .380 is nice when you're not wearing a jacket. VersaCarry makes a good option for IWB carry, some like them, some don't... I do like them for my .380 or single-stack 9mm! Very comfortable for small-of-the-back carry.
One of the luxuries of being a bigger guy is you have more carry choices. I've at one time carried concealed a 1911a1, Taurus PT24/7 in .45 acp, a P-64, a Taurus 651, and a Walther P-1. These days I alternate between a Romanian Tokarev and a Glock 17. I've gotten the most carry usage out of my 651 with a pocket holster. I live in Philadelphia and wore it in the front pocket of my jeans for years without anyone noticing.
Crossbreed super tuck type holsters are VERY comfortable. I payed $80 for mine and have worn it for 2 years, its so comfortable I forget it's on at times.
I'm 14 and today i was shooting a gen 4 glock 17 and an ar15 with an eotech sight at an indoor range here in Georgia. I know i will be concealed/open carrying once i turn 21 and despite its size, i would probably carry a glock 17. Ive shot 19s many times but theyre just too small. I know ill be pretty big when im older cause both my parents are tall and im already 5' 8". Tryin to get my dad to take me to moss pawn sometime soon but he would never get a gun. Love your channel just wanted to share
the under the arm holsters are great for bigger pistols like the 1911, browning 9, glock 19, jericho, cz75b, i know yall said yall dont like it, i love it, i dont like them in the waste band its uncomfortable to me, and i wear button up collard shirts most of the time and they are not loose but not tight either, and for me its perfect, mines not that floppy
I think it's best to encourage, educated and change the mentalities of those who are anti guns, teach those who hates guns why we need them, why they are necessary. Tell friends and family and get them to get guns and get some training. The more the better. That is the most important thing
I carry a diamondback db9 usually in a pocket holster. I have considered getting a sneaky petes holster. It is made for many other guns including a the glock 26, which im also considering getting. I would love to see you guys do a review on the holster and see what you have to say about it. your channel is the only channel i subscribe to. I hope to see a new video every day. I take everything you talk about and apply it to my everyday thinking. love the gripes and please keep up the good work.
Like they said in the video, it really depends on your body type. Full-size 1911's are pretty large, so they can be pretty difficult to hide. There are compact versions of the 1911 that would probably be a better choice.
Excellent videos. I currently live in NJ but I am moving to PA. I currently have a ruger lcp on layaway until I move to avoid the permit process of nj. I am familiar with firearms but not so much cc. Yea I know the basics but am trying to learn as much as I can. These have been great
In Cali you need to go through an ffl dealer no matter what both parties present. Cost w/e dealer fee plus the Don fees etc and you still have to wait the 10 day waiting period. Unless you are giving/receiving firearm from parent to child/child to parent or grandparent to grandchildren vice versa. Not cusin to cusin or brother to sister etc. Or if the rifle is 50yr or older. Handguns different. Go to CA doj it will tell you and have forms. :)
Haha, I lol'd at "my experience as a bean pole." I'm real skinny too and have been looking around for my first handgun and getting a concealed carry license.
I'm only 5 foot 5, 165 lbs and I carry a full-size 1911 in a Concealment Solutions Black Mamba holster without any issues... And for the females out there... Flashbang bra holster demo. Fast, safe and practical.
Steve W. I am 5' 11" and carry a ruger lcp. I have tried carrying a fullsize 1911 and a g21 but just found it uncomfortable and difficult to conceal without major changes to my wardrobe. Different guns work for different people, just because you're fine carrying a big gun doesn't mean everyone else will be, the same goes for people stressing small guns.
I'm a pretty thin guy. 5'10" 135lbs and I carry a full size Beretta PX4. Shirts fit pretty loose on a skinnier guy so carrying a full size handgun is not that difficult. (I'm not contradicting your advice but just informing you of my experience as a bean pole)
I carry 5.7, glock 21, taurus 92, and desert eagle .50ae on a regular basis! Concealed! I'm 5'7" don't think you need a smaller pistol cause your smaller!! =P nice video!
I've CCed a full size 1911 and SIG p229 both IWB. It's not uncomfortable exactly, but it's not comfortable either. Don't really worry about the barrel length of the gun, it's the length of the grip that pokes out of your shirt and makes CC hard. But then again I just avoid all of that by OCing ;)
Good video. Not to correct you guys but the Glocks 30 is a 45acp not a 10mm. Just wanted to put that out there. Thanks and keep on making great videos.
For the most part I agree with what you're saying in this video however, I feel that you should take into consideration people that are sitting in wheelchairs. I typically carry a full-size Sig P320 9mm or Sig Pro 2022 .40s&w, and can easily conceal those weapons without any issues
my wife and I both carry ruger SR22's, she carries this because she doesn't like large calibers. I carry this because I know I can shoot with accuracy under extreme pressure and let's face it, most bad guys aren't wearing body armor. if they appear to be, then a few taps on the head will still do the job. is .22 the best firearm for CC? Heck no. I prefer stopping power, but I also prefer anything over nothing.
That smith and the g20 both i own. Have carried the g 20 but I'm huge. i prefer 1 or 1 or both g 19s and my 26. Or my tiny 320 in pocket absolutely essential
I carry a Springfield GI 1911 with paddle holster with 2 extra mags. But in TN it is not concealed carry permit it is a handgun carry permit your weapon(s) do not have to be concealed. I do usually conceal why invite trouble.
I believe you were mistaking the Glock 30 (.45) for the Glock 29 (10mm). I was really happy to see my Glock 20 until you said it was too bulky haha which is no problem I understand CCW/CHL is mainly about comfort/preference. Great vids. Keep up the great work.
Great video as always. But ya'll should do a video series on open carry. In a year when I turn 21 I will be getting my CCW but I'm leaning more towards open carry just to try and get more people in my town used to seeing guns. But there are pros and cons to both carry methods. Thanks.
One of the things you mentioned was that your first priority should be to get yourself safe, or out of the situation. What do you think of CC permit holders, like nutnfancy, who seem to advocate engaging the threat over avoidance?
Good video guys. I still prefer a revolver for concealed carry (e.g. snub-nosed .38), but I have been thinking about going to a semi-automatic for concealed carry.
I have CrossBreed SuperTuck Deluxe IWB's for both my Kimber Solo and 1911 commander-sized pistols. I've found nothing more comfortable for concealed carry.
Check out N82 IWB holsters. Some of the most comfortable holsters on the market. I have three myself and if I'm not carrying OWB, I'm carrying an N82 holster.
Don't worry about the length, it's an important topic. When you start making 45-minute 4-part series reviewing one knife, then I will get bored. Anyway, I have seen pants that had hidden deep pockets that were supposed to be designed for CCW. I think it might have been 5.11 tactical.
I was kinda wondering if you guys have conceal carry classes at the store.I live in MO and alot of the pawn/gun shops have sign up sheets and when they get enough they will hold a class .IMO it is just another service they offer. I know there is a cost to take the class to become a instructor. i have noticed most of the businesses that do offer these classes even furnish the gun and ammo if you do not have both auto and revolver. That is one requirement here you have to use both types
I should look into picking up a smaller frame handgun for myself. I'm a woman who carries, but the only handgun I own is a WW2 era M1911, and I'm very, very small. Only place I can really effectively conceal that is in my purse, and that could easily get snatched right away from me.
In most states, there isn't much of a protocol. As far as I know, you can basically gift a gun to whoever you want. In my case, as a C&R holder, if I gift a C&R eligible gun then I have to record it as a disposition in my bound book records. However, if I wasn't a licensee, there are no records required. Of course, California is a different story. I'm sure they have some ridiculous laws pertaining to this type of thing, as with everything else. I'm not current on California gun laws though.
Those are just waistband holsters worn on the back. One of my buddies actually wears it on his front. It's all the same thing, just a different belt position..
This was very informing thanks for doing it. Any idea when part 3 is coming out? Also any good suggestions for a website to ascertain the rules in different parts of America for conceal carry?
I hope I am not posting this twice. I have several handguns and holsters. Tried several methods. Finally settled on J frame .38 with internal hammer, in a front pocket holster. I know it is only 5 shots, but hope that will be enough. I have heard 3 yards 3 shots 3 seconds. Practice at about 7 yards with this one. I have found that revolvers are just a little more reliable for pocket carry.
I have a couple of Fobus paddle holsters that I use for the range or hunting. I have heard knowledgable people say that the paddle should go inside the pants and outside the pants. I usually wear the paddle outside the pants - it is secure and more comfortable. Your thoughts? Great vid!
I really thought you would have talked about the SW Bodyguard series, the new MP Sheild, the S&W Airlight, Keltec PF9/P11, Rugers LCP,LCR,LC9. I know your partial to the Glocks, but most of those are kind of big for concealed carry, unless your a big guy.
Wow it amazing how holster have moved forward in carrying I like appendix carry with HTC holster for glock 19 Rolland special or G code appendix for glock 26
Haha, yeah we're pretty much "stuck" with them in that sense. I don't mind though, handloading keeps the ammo cost down to a reasonable amount compared to retail 45 GAP :O
they do make a tactical broth but I don't remember the manufacturer a friend of the family is a deputy sheriff and she bought her one she keeps a 357 Magnum in it
id love to get my lady more into guns but shes borderline anti guns and is very strict aboht the guns in our home. i love guns, i grew up with them and they acted as great bonding tools between my father and i. its a shame she doesnt have the same appreciation for them as i do. could you guys do a video giving advice on trying to convinve someone borderline anti gun to being more of a pro gun person? even to the point where theyd carry a gun?
You guys gave a lot of good examples for concealing the weapon itself, but what about comfortable and effective ways to carry extra magazines? I'm about Eric's size (maybe a bit shorter) and don't have much of a problem with concealing a full-size M1911 (it bulges a little, but my state allows open carry anyway so I don't have to worry about it). My problem is with the magazine holster that came with the gun. The metal mags I use are constantly jabbing into my side and are just uncomfortable.
I think a good top 5 gun video would be five compact guns for the budget minded people Idk what a good compact gun would be that isn't above 500-600 dollars
i would not advice ANY leather holsters for striker fired guns.. esp glocks.. it can flex/move and reach the trigger. may take a decade of regular use before that 1% instance may happen, but it can and will if you arent careful. double action guns work better with leather or those that have a manual safety. take care all
So do you guys have any good advice for choosing mag holsters or know any good brands or models out there? I hope I never need to use my 1911 in actual combat, let alone use more than a single, but I want to be ready in the event that I need that second or third magazine.
This is only the second time I have offered the following comment:
Just found your channel. What I have seen is really worthwhile information and well presented. There is so much craziness and aimless chatter out there on RUclips it is always good to find knowledgeable and coherent people with their feet firmly grounded in reality..
These guys are the best. Best channel on youtube
I think yall should both demonstrate the bra holster
I always considered a woman's purse to be the worst option to carry a gun. First of all that purse might be the actual target of the bad guy and second it takes ages to get to the gun. Thanks for making this guys, I know there are a lot of us out here who have a million questions about concealed carry and options, etc.
Concealed carry.. "it's comforting... Not comfortable". Love that little nugget of advice
I am 6'4" and 270 pounds. i agree look over these guys past videos its unbelievable the knowledge that's totally free
Crossbreed super tuck type holsters are VERY comfortable. I payed $80 for mine and have worn it for 2 years, its so comfortable I forget it's on at times.
Eric, I think you guys make great vids. I really enjoy them and your genuine approach in making them. Keep them up. Thanks, Guys!

Glock 19 with OTW Galco Combat Master.
Walther PPQ 9mm with OTW DeSantis Speed Scabbard.
Wilderness 1 3/4 inch belt.
Love both setups.
Another name for a photographer's vest - "Shoot me first vest". A cover shirt with velcro works pretty well.
the under the arm holsters are great for bigger pistols like the 1911, browning 9, glock 19, jericho, cz75b, i know yall said yall dont like it, i love it, i dont like them in the waste band its uncomfortable to me, and i wear button up collard shirts most of the time and they are not loose but not tight either, and for me its perfect, mines not that floppy

One thing about IWB. Make sure it doesn't collapse. If you have to draw for some reason you don't want it grab the trigger as you holster the pistol.
The kahr pistols are some of the finest concealed carry guns on the market. The CM9 and the CW380 are both cost effective and very reliable.
I just noticed how perfectly that name fits the holster.
I've also hit triple digits in my car, and my walther p22, tuarus model 82, and glock 17 haven't had any issues yet.
This is one of your better series so far great job.
More like this please
I carry a diamondback db9 usually in a pocket holster. I have considered getting a sneaky petes holster. It is made for many other guns including a the glock 26, which im also considering getting. I would love to see you guys do a review on the holster and see what you have to say about it. your channel is the only channel i subscribe to. I hope to see a new video every day. 511 makes like an under armor shirt with pockets for them... they are pretty comfortable
Like they said in the video, it really depends on your body type. Full-size 1911's are pretty large, so they can be pretty difficult to hide. There are compact versions of the 1911 that would probably be a better choice.
i live in Florida, and have left my handgun with extra mags in the car thru summer, all day while i was at work. I've had no issues.
I like pocket carry best. It's easy to sit, walk, and run. It's slower than a waistband holster on the draw, but it's not bad.
Agreed on the photographer's vests. Most photographers don't even wear those vests! lol.
Guns for your guns, ha!
More like guns for your cannons!
Excellent videos. I currently live in NJ but I am moving to PA. I currently have a ruger lcp on layaway until I move to avoid the permit process of nj. I am familiar with firearms but not so much cc. Yea I know the basics but am trying to learn as much as I can. These have been great

Yea, I always find it funny how people stress small guns for carry. I'm 5'8" ,170lbs and conceal a Glock 22 just fine.
Steve W. I am 5' 11" and carry a ruger lcp. I have tried carrying a fullsize 1911 and a g21 but just found it uncomfortable and difficult to conceal without major changes to my wardrobe. I dont trust any conceal carry holster except crossbreed holsters. Great holsters abd always made to your spects. Thanks for the video
I can conceal a full size M&P 45 pretty good. The N frame 44 mag handle prints some, but other than that it hides good too.
Thanks for taking the time and effort to make these informative videos for us guys
the glock store has some real cool holster options
I love my vest and actually I get asked if I'm going fishing. I have never been asked what I carry or if I am carrying.
Another good video.
I drove past the shop the other day and I wish I could have stopped in.
my wife and I both carry ruger SR22's, she carries this because she doesn't like large calibers.
I do usually conceal why invite trouble.
i conceal my 19 very easy and i am a pretty thin dude. 5'9 140lbs and I conceal it real well with just basketball shorts and a tee shirt no problem
Chad's tears cure cancer... But he never cries... Great video:)

Got excited about the button/Velcro shirt hu?!
The XD40 subcompact is a great little gun too.
Shoulder holsters are good for carrying while seated in an automobile.
Good series guys, thanks for posting.
Those are just waistband holsters worn on the back. One of my buddies actually wears it on his front. It's all the same thing, just a different belt position..
hope you keep doing these long videos, great stuff!
I have found that revolvers are just a little more reliable for pocket carry.
Crossbreed Holsters are my favorite IWB holsters.
Guns for your guns. lol
how about "shooters for your hooters"! haha!
I'm very similar. 6'3" 145 lbs and I either carry a 1911 or Glock 22.
another good one, congratz with your 500th vid !
Ahhh so your saying that shoot me vests are a bad thing. I think you are right and I pretty much only carry IWB and sometimes OWB.
they do make a tactical broth but I don't remember the manufacturer a friend of the family is a deputy sheriff and she bought her one she keeps a 357 Magnum in it
I wish you guys talked about "middle of the back" style holsters.
Would be nice to hear a review of a good for target shoot gun... At the range, at paper figurers. Well you know what I mean!
Thanks for all the info guys!!
Great information guys, keep up the good work.
Glock 27 in a Desantis pocket holster for me. After breaking it in it will be a Super Carry Pro in a Crossbreed Supertuck. God Bless.
I carry a Smith & Wesson 642 with a delta grip.
Do a vid on OWB with level II retention as is required in many states for open carry.
happy 500 vids! I can't wait to see the next 500!
id love to get my lady more into guns but shes borderline anti guns and is very strict aboht the guns in our home. i love guns, i grew up with them and they acted as great bonding tools between my father and i. its a shame she doesnt have the same appreciation for them as i do. could you guys do a video giving advice on trying to convinve someone borderline anti gun to being more of a pro gun person? even to the point where theyd carry a gun?
I know that for women, there are thigh holsters which are very accessible for women wearing skirts or dresses, and very concealable.
I like you guys. Thanks for this video too.
Great video guys. Thanks for the info!
"4 seconds, 2 shots, 7 yards" I'll remember that, thank you.
I think a good top 5 gun video would be five compact guns for the budget minded people
Idk what a good compact gun would be that isn't above 500-600 dollars
Great job.
i would not advice ANY leather holsters for striker fired guns.. esp glocks.. it can flex/move and reach the trigger. may take a decade of regular use before that 1% instance may happen, but it can and will if you arent careful. double action guns work better with leather or those that have a manual safety. take care all
Glock 30 is .45ACP, Exact same size. I am sure you guys already know, but just wanted to clear it up for anyone watching. Glock 29 is 10mm.
great vid very helpful info on it my soinlaw and daughter both carry with an in the waistband they love it and subbed also
The tactical bra your referring to is called the "Flash Bang"
So do you guys have any good advice for choosing mag holsters or know any good brands or models out there? I hope I never need to use my 1911 in actual combat, let alone use more than a single, but I want to be ready in the event that I need that second or third magazine.
