      Thanks brother, I was walking around my neighborhood last weekend and noticed how very little people use plastic. It looks so messy.

    Great job..... I'd take 5-6 of those little jobs every week vs some of the larger ones, it turned out great!

    • @jmconcretecoloradosprings
      @jmconcretecoloradosprings  3 года назад

      5-6?!?!? Holy cow you work fast. We just bill really good on one and it gives us times to rest. About 20 hours a week of work. But paid well. If I did 5 or 6 of these in a week at my prices I could retire after a few years.

      @@GRUBB-MUDD I was thinking way down the road I might give it away. But I always need 2 atleast. And it does make it easier. We are never worried about getting a tear out with wire or rebar.

      @@jmconcretecoloradosprings don't give it away lol ever! Dude u got a nice set up! How do u get your finishers? The good ones around here r too busy

    • @jmconcretecoloradosprings
      @jmconcretecoloradosprings  3 года назад +1

      @@GRUBB-MUDD It will be way way way down the road. And I have met guys over the years. And they meet people. The thing is around here a lot of companies will hire finishers by the day and pay them a high flat rate. It helps keep our crews small and helps them make more. Everyone wins. Me and my wife will prep a project then pour with a large crew.

  • @GRUBB-MUDD

    Love how u water it too during compacting, locks it in! Tbh that is actually good enough if u do it right! Rebar and wire are nice but if you do the prep correctly you don't even need them (especially if you dow it

      I always say that between reinforcement and a proper subgrade that a proper subgrade is better. But if you have both. It's all good.

    Dude that is crazy!!! Use a little bit of water when you saw cut!!!

    • @jmconcretecoloradosprings
      @jmconcretecoloradosprings  3 года назад

      You are absolutely right. I always bring the water tank attachment for it if you look at my other videos. But this cut was unexpected and I always carry a pro dust mask just in case so I made it work. Told my wife to go to the truck and leave me alone and I went at it. Sidenote: That mask is great for cutting without water.

    what kind of boots you wearing? looking for some cowboy style with steel toe

    • @jmconcretecoloradosprings
      @jmconcretecoloradosprings  3 года назад

      Red wing Irish setters with a dipped toe. Comfy, affordable, good thread, last a good while (2 years) with heavy wear. Had some oil field guys recommend them. Been wearing them for close to a decade now.

    YOU GOT THE WRONG BIT ON THAT BOSHE, YOU NEED A WIDE CHIZZLE BIT, BUT you still got it, unless it's over 6 inches thick, then use that bit u were using

    • @jmconcretecoloradosprings
      @jmconcretecoloradosprings  3 года назад +1

      I have other bits but this had wire so I had to relly get into it to break it up. Weird thing was that only 1 stone had wire in The whole sidewalk.
