I had this watch for a few months, camera controls were probably the most promising feature. I'll miss that when I have my camera mounted on my helmet or elsewhere on the bike. Battery life was spectacular but the screen was so dim compared to what I can do with the Fenix 7, makes me wonder if the brightness was purposefully limited to maintain their battery life promise. The GPS was really great and it handled the cold weather very well. The big downfall was something I thought I could do without was the Ant+ .Turns out I do rely on it a lot for multiple trainer, power pedal, and HR band connections. Another downfall was the map, it's basically breadcrumbs over on image of a map without street or trail names. Plus the contrast between roads and grass and water and paths made it very difficult to use on a run. That is something I hope they update. Anyway, good luck with your testing and very interested to see what your thoughts are. Cheers
That's interesting about the screen. I can't fairly compare it to the Epix so I guess I need to checkout the Fenix to directly assess the brightness. Thanks for the feedback!
Thought I heard you mention a tie between the Apple Watch and the Epix 2 😮 my Epix arrives tomorrow, ready to give it a shot and see if it can dethrone the AW7 for day to day use!
@@JBOutside1 Epix 2 in my possession! Shut down the AW 7 to make sure I give it a fair shot. First thoughts were the screen, obviously, and how beautiful it is. But second was actually the weight. The last garmin I tried was the Fenix 6 sapphire, so the steel body was a bit heavier. This strikes the right balance of weight, in my opinion. Time will tell how if this is the one that keeps me with garmin! But it seems like it has a good shot..
I’ve been watching hundreds different videos about watches and at this point I’m coming to conclusion that if Apple added better battery life and flashlight then they would kill all the other watches.
@@JBOutside1I think with the new watch OS you can load maps on the watch. Not sure about turn by turn as I don’t have AW Ultra. I’m waiting for new Apple Watch that will be released on the 9/9. Hopefully Apple will make something nice.
Thanks for reviewing the Coros. I bought one for my daughter and she loves it. Looking at getting one myself, but will await your review!
No problem Joe! I'll let you know what I find out!

Yeah it’s great, I’ve already found some interesting results comparing all three…

Truth. But they also need to add navigation during a workout and overall fitness load (coming next month in some capacity)
