Tunde Jegede, your music is sublime...thank you God for Tunde Jegede and his sister that he taught to play Sona Jobarteh. ...You both rock my world, one makes me dance and the other one sends me to worlds far from here, yet here. ...beautiful beyond the word beautiful...!!
Sweet and deep. Brother from my neck of the woods- his sister,Sona Jobarteh, is a master in a family line going back 71 generations of Classical West African musicians.
Im at work and i almost start crying, but i was strong and hold the tears. Another frequency dear brother. You are too much. Hope some day we will meet and play some music. Thank you for the inspiration. Love
A perfect piece of music, just stunning, thank you. I first discovered your sister's kora playing, before that Seckou and now after over 10 years of being captivated by the hauntingly beautiful music of the kora, I have my own! If I can ever learn to play it with even a hint of the adeptness you have, I'll be over the moon.

Kora tuning s are many but the common ones are the SALIBA, SAUTA and sometimes HARDINO scales! !The Benedictine Monastery in Nigeria (Ewu Edo state) use it for their singing and I must tell you I was moved to tears as the African in my soul was immediately quickened when I heard it. This is a call on Africans( West Africans especially) to wake up and do more on their Chordophones, Idiophones and Aerophones .There is a website I found helpful on the Kora here www.kora-music.com/e/tonleitern.htm Hope this helps

I just love the way the Kora sounds like a multitude of musicians playing, with melodic and rhythmic dexterity.

Tunde you play the kora but to complement it, learn the history and tradition of Mandinka people.
He knows very well the history, search about him and his masters. He is playing the kora since his childhood
