Nice man, i was doing the same thing except for the disguise, that's genius. Also an idea to improve it from a fellow sneaky bastard, leave a few pieces of treasure in your inventory so it looks even more like you just forgot to drop your stuff.

Really keen to try this out as a newer player looking for my 'come-up'!! One thing you didn't mention in the video is the trap placement in terms of map/spawn. Do you walk a significant way out of your spawn and start laying traps? Or do you make your way to known thoroughfares/choke points and then start setting up? I've found since I don't know the maps very well, I end up setting traps and waiting in places noone actually comes. Cheers for the video, it was hilarious and well edited too!
If you unlock the new campfire skin from the tavernmaster it's big enough to totally hide the trap. I've been using it for the past week and it's great.
I once made a full armor fighter and cleric once. I was resting at a small ranger campfire and got ambushed by a ranger. I was like... okay? I continued resting till second wind came off cooldown. I then proceeded to stand up with full health while he was reloading.... I was like..... Why tho.

if warlock surviving a nearly 1 shot to full PDR fighter crossbow, then a nearly 1 shot (and often is a flat out 1 shot) to full PDR fighter ability back to back after being shot multiple times and hit by a giant swinging axe says anything but warlock is so disgustingly OP it needs blatantly removed or nerfed into the ground then you need to stop huffing so much copium and play a class other than warlock and see just how severely you relied on the crutch that is that disgustingly OP trash
PLUS THE DAMAGE FROM A TRAP OVER TIME AND INITIALLY LIKE HOLY SHIT fighter would have died in a THIRD of the times and DOES even in these clips total bullshit blacksmith do something PLEASE
on that note though shotgun should not do nearly that much to a PDR build, it is a physical damage projectile, something that PDR is a direct counter to, it should 1 shot casters and squishy people but at MOST do like maybe half health to a full PDR build like come on what sort of nonsense is this what even is the point of running full PDR with ranged damage reduction if it isn't going to even do anything, makes no sense that such a squishy class kills me in less hits than I kill them when they can attack me four times as fast
@@TheOriginalFlowerdough true phys + armor pen negates armor also if you're playing pdr just block it legit so easy or just dodge it w no shield which is also pretty easy since they usually shoot upper body
@@itzdrdabber2115 yeah except saying "just don't get hit" in melee range is nonsense, if I'm playing against a toddler or a retard yeah but if the person has more than a single brain sell and has reflexes at least better than a sloth that's not a choice that's really a solid option, and most fighters don't run shield and sword because it's not very viable in combat against anything besides a ranger and has garbage DPS, and considering how goddamn slow fighters are their tankiness and damage is their only feature, which ranger is faster, does like 20 billion damage with the shotgun bow with a billion armor pen, same with the big crossbow. so basically ranger just blatantly directly counters fighter in every single way and can use the same tactics (and traps) to basically guaranteed kill non ranged classes with zero issues by just running and spamming abilities and arrows like a little bitch
The hunting traps should really just be a skill like caltrops, and shouldn't stay on the ground longer than like 60 seconds. Ideally they should be removed since they're just guaranteed kills if you don't have a shield, they're super unbalanced.

On a lot of classes you can ape rush a ranger bc traps and abilities but you can immediately get close to a slayer fighter

I set up 1 trap in spawn in case I get pushed immediately, then move more towards high traffic areas.
