This is a beautiful pattern that I found was very easy to do. Your video tutorial was excellently executed. I’m looking forward to working on some of your other projects. Good work😊
"If you have done this correctly, you are going to have a total of 32 stitches all around" me: **counts** IT'S 33!! this is gonna be my 13th reason why
I am glad you like the pattern😊 For this tulip stitch to work, you will want to chain in multiples of 4, so if you want your work to be about the same size as mine using 8-ply milk cotton yarn, I would begin with 8 chains total. You will have 16 stitches at the end of the first round, and 24 stitches at the end of the second round. I would use a 4.00mm hook in this case, but you may have to use a different hook size depending on your tension. Your oval base should be about 6 to 7 cm long by the end of the second round. I suggest that you experiment😉 I would also like to add that because you are using larger yarn to make a project the same size as mine, your resulting work will look a little different from mine, but please do give it a try!
Hi! I’m not always able to respond to comments immediately, as I only come here during my free time. The yarn that I used is called ‘4-ply milk cotton yarn’. The label says that this is actually 100% acrylic. This yarn is light worsted weight (#3 weight yarn), so you can use any #3 yarn!
This is probably too small for Samsung phones, but you can easily adjust to suit the size of your phone. You will have to begin with more chains. Just chain in any multiple of 4, and make sure your chain length is slightly shorter than the width of your phone because the base gets wider as you work your way up to the second round.
Thank you for the reply to her comment! I have some very large sunglasses I'd love to make a case for, and you just told me how! 😊 I love your videos, especially because I always have a hard time finding the right stitch to mark, or where to enter when told to put the hook in a certain stitch, but you show exactly where it goes. Thank you!! ❤
This looks beautiful, was a little confused but yours looks amazing
Love it! Thank you so much! Had fun making a phone case/sunnies case ❤️
