Lol the walk of shame is one of the best parts. I almost always get this question "Wtf happened to you" and my go-to response is always "Idk man I'm still trying to figure that out, I just woke up like this" usually screaming it at them too bcuz I'm half deaf from riding the rail the entire show
@@rubyrod668 Oh definitely but especially the ones where I was soaked head to toe, then had to leave the venue. Only problem was...the show was at the end over November it western Pennsylvania. It could get very cold. Thanks Gwar for another great show and the pneumonia! Lol. In all honesty It was nothing. Just part of the experience. It was always worth it. Always. I loved being new fans that heard the music but didn't know the "experience." Ahhh. Virgin Gwar fans.
@@Demonis198666 I loved that look when you walked into any convenience store, gas station...anywhere. I even looked forward to it. I was pretty much saying to myself "PLEASE ask me why I look like this"
dont forget there was dbx also....im just glad so much gwar was saved, and i dont care if it is in potato resolution...ts still GWAR...and its all we get...so HAIL GWAR FOREVER!!!
I threw my clothes stained with GWARs blood into the tub after a show my mom thought I was dead the next day lol.I told her it was a concert she nearly fainted
This night was so fun. My Asian friend Brian was turned blue, lost his leather jacket six times that night. Didn't even notice he was a smurf until we stopped at a QT for some Gatorade and munchies afterwards. I was picking out some candy and I hear "what the Smurf happened, john?" Look up at a blue-dyed Bowen Yang lookalike. Lmfao still just thinking about it...
I knew Dave since 1993. He sang this way a lot after Cory's death. Used to visit him. During these times he was living with Gwars manager. I won't get into how much I loathed that man for what he did after Dave's death but Dave was a different person in his private after the death of Cory. He lost this spark he always had. He was talking about leaving Gwar. He told me that it just wasn't fun anymore. He was still doing art but that slowed as well. I know heroin use and there was nothing that anyone (who actually cared about him) could do. That was so hard. I miss him so much still and the actions of certain people from the moment of his death and long after still piss me off.
@@jsin1077 I was close to Dave for 1992 or 93 up till his death. Omg the stories I could tell you. I'm the same way. I won't see Gwar after Dave's passing because the treachery, theft, disrespect and just things that, for me, were incredibly heartbreaking. I was there watching Dave Spiral down after the death of Cory. I was there when we gathered up passports to cross into Canada and Cory was gone. Those were very dark times that weighed on me heavily. I'm good at handling things but Dave and Cory had a symbiotic relationship professionally and as friends. Watching the man who taught me so much, was my inspiration and someone I could have long, deep conversations with, (like his genius lyrics for the song Jacque Cousteau) which I found perfectly insane and genius and there were MANY more. I'm glad the band only missed one show because performing was part of them coping. The hard part came when the costumes came off. Dave had me very worried. This spark he had...I saw it one last time and never saw it again. It was when Cory and Jamie's baby was born. Watching Dave hold that baby, it felt like all was gonna be well, but that was just me hoping. Sure, Gwar replaced a load of ppl over the years but Cory Smoot was the best for Dave and Cory was the true flattus. Mean no disrespect to any others who came before. Yes, ppl will always say, "there was a Gwar before Dave" Some will bring up Don, Hunter and Chuck had more to do with Gear. Well, yes those guys were talented. Very! But Dave really was Gwar, it was his baby. He was a unique human being. As for Hunter? I have zero respect for him. He...🤔 was an awful, jealous, highly disrespectful person that made me want to, basically be a horrible person but I didn't let him. If anyone wants to know what I mean or anything else, ask away. I had a very good reply that was in depth but my heart can't handle writing it again. Got those who still enjoy Gwar, I haven't a problem with that. It's not my place nor will ever be, to tell people how to enjoy their music. I just have personal issues. Just ask anything that I won't put myself into defamation or anything disrespectful. I also won't lie. Only truth. I'm sorry, I don't want to offend anyone but it's my opinion that Mike was a terrible choice as lead singer and Dave would never want that. I LOVE Bishop as beefkake. An impressive bass player and his role in Kepone was perfect.
The show I witnessed in 1990 was absolutely colossal! The show I Saw in 2024 , not so much! Rest in peace Dave brokie ,you will be loved and missed forever!
100th like. It should have been the 100,000k Hail Oderus Hail Flattus Hail Pustulus Hail GWAR!!!!
Who knew he would be gone 11 months later.
If Oderus taught me anything over my 30 years. It’s live now. Today. Never know what tomorrow is.
That was a fun show, my buddy Brian was stained red all night... hilarious going to the store after the show.

Anyone else miss the look on peoples faces in public after we all left a gwar show ? Theyd all look at us like wtf ! lol !
I remember going to tacobell after my first gwar show. The look on the guys face was 100% priceless, if only my phone had a camera at that time.

This is the first Gwar show I've ever seen. Rest in Peace Dave Brockie. Watching this I wish I had partied with you more.
Every time I watch gwar I get more freaky flying miles!

Uh I think the other vid of this is gone. It was a top result for GWAR. This is the only one left
This was right before he died

was Brian red or blue? You make conflicting comments. I'm gonna bet money that you never even went to a GWAR show.
Is he still Asian?
I am always curious why he sings like this when he is on tv?
Probably too old to sing. If you watch him sing live in 2004 or 5. He nails every song perfectly live.
True, in many ways GWAR died with Dave Brockie, no one can match his vocals for long.
Sadly, he was probably getting pretty bad into his addiction by this point.
Oderus sings as he pleases human scum!

Its hard to watch these gwar died with dave. I have zero interest in them anymore. Dave was the only celebrity i gave 2 shts about.
