i really appreciate you going over the difference between desire as a feeling, and the use of desire as a consumer capture strategy by capital, cause i've always had trouble explaining that to people, how 'wanting a thing' does not inherently mean that thing must be made under a capitalist system, and how we could absolutely still have those things, and also not be harming the planet and each other.

tried to write this comment several times but i kept comming across as very unwell, which tbf i am but that besides the point. it was in a way that was inconsiderate for want of better phrasing. Dont like that the world is full of fascists and has been for a long time/. dont like that everything is so difficult to do/ my body and brain are so dysfunctional. these things make it very hard to visualise a future thats in anyway positive. the small things never stop going wrong so why would the big things happen to go right. it kinda feels like that whole thing is the domain of the ""real"" people. got a very bad case of the 1000 times bitten, 1,000,000 times shy.
