I like to some times go ahri top againts tanks and make them cry XD
For those cases my build is TP-flash, for invokers, the normal electrocute runes and for the items, godess tear (first item), liandry, ionian boots (buy first if you are wining or enemy is not too tank), void staff/crypto (void if they are way to tanky, crypto otherwise for magic penetration+cooldowns), then malignance if you are wining or rabadon if you are wining really hard XD, then riylay to slow down the oponents with every ability and for the last item you seel your tear and finish with rabadon if you didnt bought it before or any AP item you see fit, like zhonias or malignance or lich bane or shadowflame or mejai or even cosmic drive for the extra cooldowns and movement speed.
This ahri isnt played as assasin (though she can one-shot squishies, just hit your charm), but as a DPS/support. She spams all her abilities slowing everyone and causing % damage.
In lane fase thanks to the tear and lost chapter (on first back) you can spam bot W and Q, to poke your oponentes till they get annoyed and jump at your charm.... i mean, at you, just to get even more annoyed cause they cant kill you nor farm. When you get liandry, then that annoying poke will turn in their deads or losing lots of farm and their towers... so they will buy magic resist, but with your adventage youll get your magic penetretion (cause you know, penetrarion has to be magical) before they get theirs and gg, either theyll go afk, or FF or start trolling. Remember to report the chat, believe me, every game ;)
Just remember, is not a build to get kills like an assasin, its a build to annoy the shit out of them till they quit or tilt cause they cant kill you and instead get their healths down really fast till they have to retreat leaving behind their objectives.

I build storm surge when I’m ahead by at least 500gold the enemy team is squishy and my darkseal is at least 6 stacks, if all 3 have a green light I build it, shadow flame is built right after there is just no point to build I storm surge bc lynch bane is better
