You should mention that shine OoS is the same motion and timing as doubleshine. Using c-stick to buffer jump is not actually as helpful as it sounds because if you do it early you have to guess the timing for the shine, whereas using y/x -> b is a standard timing you should be practicing and doing consistently.
Basically falco has two more timing options for his multi shine compared to Fox then? Fox's is naturally better since it has to be fast (insane 2 frame window), but it seems falco could use those extra frames for mixups
Not quite, falco’s multishine has consistent timing as well, it’s just a tad slower is all due to his jumpsquat taking more frames. An opppnent would have the same options in Shield regardless for both situations 99.99% of the time.
The warp nair can be done on dream land when you shine to fast nair. I used to do it all the time in tourney and you can also l cancel it but it is kinda useless
Sure, you can shine mine any projectile. And there is almost no use for it except for Swag. I guess the only real applications I can think of are these: Missile Heavy Samus, to counter Luigi's Fireball when he throws it out to help recover with it (but just shining him is 100x better anyways), or using it off stage to counter a Samus bomb jumping.
by the way guys, I'm fairly new to falco, how do you shine so fast once you hit the ground? I try L-canceling but I still cant get it right, this might be a really dumb question to ask but I just wanted to know :)
Stefano Well you can try just jumping and shining once you hit the ground, but L Canceling is absolutely needed if you are using an aerial. Try first hitting nobody then practice hitting an opponent standing. The timings for L Canceling are slightly different for each. It just takes some practice.
I personally use X Jump and just tap X, flick back on control stick and then hit B. Doesn't need to be super advanced. I find that using X or Y jump is much easier than tap jump to do this obviously.
Can't think of many good uses for shine autocancelled back air. If you're shining you're on top of them and if they're shielding the bair will hit the top of their shield and they can punish you on the way down.
This channel is like the ultimate beginners guide. The pros should link these videos to the newbies.
the LehZ Thanks! That was the goal haha
OCEAN MAAAAAN!
Drop cancel bair only works on hit and on shield. It's not possible to drop cancel a bair on whiff, as the hitlag is what makes it work.
Thank you so much dude!
No problem!
Love u man! so many falco techs that i didnt know existed!
Thanks man for the video quality and improving falco's
No problem! Glad people enjoy these guides!

Music choice is always great
awesome music choice
Thanks!

Thanks for the guide, man! What's the song you used in the video?
In order:
1. Space Defender (Harmony of Heroes)
2. Star Fox SNES Stage Clear 01
3. Star Fox 64 Boss B
4. Star Fox 64 Boss E
5. Ocean Man
At 3:00 what exactly do you mean by "the easiest way is to jump with the C-stick"... Is that even possible?
McClain The Liberator You can jump out of shield by hitting the C Stick up while in shield.

Cool, i'll try and put it in next time as an example.
Is it possible it use the shine mine while in hit stun?
I do not believe so as you need to be able to have the shine hitbox come out which requires you to use shine.
What are the uses for aerial interrupt dair?
Mainly shield pressure or tech chasing. Similar to AI Bair.
can you shine mine turnips needles etc? it seems cool but idk how useful it is

Third Chair still very cool to know that he has that

Third Chair thanks!
is shine mine tournament legal?
TheTsulz Yes but it is highly impractical. However it is incredibly cool
how do you do your reverse short hop lasers

do you flick backwards as you jump?
Pretty much, right after i hit jump.
I subbed!!
Thank you!

If you watch the way players like Mango and Westballz do it, it'll make more sense when it is helpful :)
Fairly certain it was proven that shine mining was only a 20xx thing, it doesn't happen on vanilla melee
Hmm, didn't find any info myself, but will give it a look Friday and if so, I'll put an annotation over it.
First song
Falco has 4 jumpsquat frames, Fox has 3. Extrapolate your data.
Sickmagic SSBM My B, will fix in updated ones
Falco has 5 jumpsquat frames, not 4.
