    The thing is Islam isn’t asking you to take it at face value, it comes with proof hence asking you to use your reasoning, it’s the only religion that asks you to research to find the truth

      Their problem is having assumption that islam is false.. maybe they believe that the truth is subjective.. which is unrealistic because the truth is always one and absolute. But the secular education make people hyper skeptical to the point of living inside their imaginations n speculations.. the time they will go down to earth and actually investigate islam in an objective academic manner:. They will succumb as anyone would.. but the ego play a role in that.. anyway may Allah guide them

      @@FOOTSHOTS1Also the worldly life affects this ego, stubbornness and fear. It even applies to many Muslims. Many people fear practicing or preaching some aspects out of fear of losing influence, power or money. Allah mentions this issue in the Quran and mentions how to deal with these temptations. By the one who created our souls, there is nothing related to our religion if not explained truthfully in the Quran.

    In Islam, guidance to Islam can only be given by Allah.
    After I watched Jeffrey Lang speech, I finally understand why guidance can only be given by Allah alone. I think Allah can see each people who they really are and Allah only guides people who capable to form relationship with HIM by that existential relationship.
    I am born Muslim and I blown away by Jeffrey Lang reasoning of Qur'an message because while I knew most of what he said before, I don't even know the link between all that and find the philosophical treasure of it until Jeffrey Lang show me how to uncover it.

    @52:25 Yes, Allah is sovereign and yes he is in control and knows everything that will happen. The terrible attributes (selfish, sinful, all the bad things, etc.) are not things from him, those characteristics are the result of going against his directive (be good, do good, read, use your intellect , etc.) We are given the choice as the video said, we can choose the path he laid out, or, you can choose the opposite, the things that take you away from him. So no those things are not his characteristic because they go against his nature. For example being Just is his nature, he is not unjust. We can be unjust while God cannot because it violates his nature. Hope that makes sense.

    • @majidshabbir8896
      @majidshabbir8896 10 месяцев назад +11

      Just to add to this, I think in part 1, it was made clear that these evil characteristics (with the most evil being arrogance which leads people to do most of the awful things) their infinite source is from Satan. As the Quran makes it clear, every second, every decision of your life is a constant battle between doing good i.e. developing those good characteristics or doing evil I.e. following Satan and developing the bad characteristics. It is up to us humans to make that choice and we can then either grow in the good characteristics or stunt them and instead develop the opposite of those good characteristics by following Satan.

      This brother Jeffrey just went through a long explanation of his own journey to Islam, showing how it is not an instant decision and that it's not meant to be one. He explained that it requires questioning, time, attention, personal space and private conversations with God because that is exactly how we are designed.
      Yet some comments start talking about their hearts being blind (I'm pretty sure that's the aya you are referencing) because they're not embracing Islam on camera after watching a few videos. What is that? Please let's give them space and let them go through this process without pressure or judgement.

  • @rigatoni4646
    @rigatoni4646 10 месяцев назад +15

    I used to get frustrated when I converted to Islam, because many Muslims expected me to do something that they were unable and unwilling to do themselves: look at your own religion from a critical point of view and read other religious texts with an open mind. But at the end of the day, I realized it doesn't matter. Sometimes people use flawed arguments to defend valid ideas. It's annoying when it happens, but if you're seeking the truth, you can't let frustration make you reject a conclusion that you know makes sense because you disagree with the arguments people used.

    • @deed9430
      @deed9430 10 месяцев назад +7

      Honestly I can understand why that is annoying. But I think the main reason muslims are harsh is because Islam has a clear set of rules between what to do or not. Always go back to the source, so even if they don't do it, they still remind what should be done according to the book. Coz once they say it's ok not to do, that's when the message will stray away, then people start to compromise and change it themselves. Ofc they're in the wrong coz of the hypocrisy, but they can't say otherwise in terms of the islamic belief. I know some are very annoying with expectation and become judgemental. But let those be your trial to stay in the right path.
      Follow trough by looking for other ways to learn. Don't let any uneducated and impious muslims define what Islam really is. Always go back to Allah in the end. Keep striving!

    Quran is both Warner and glad tiding . So being told and being warned about God is biding responsiblity that needs to be researched and learned by looking into His revelations (Quran)

    Hey guys, I'm compelled to write about the speakers mention of that uphill climb, and what is that uphill climb. I personally want to grow in that respect, to experience the bliss I can achieve in this world and the next. Free a slave, help the poor & defend the oppress. Strive in this manner with the quran. My gosh it serves as a good reminder to me as a muslim. Thanks for reviewing this video, may Allah swt guide you guys to peace & help us all to develop that relationship with god that the speaker so passionately spoke about. Ameen.

    Islam stats with the Wisdom,with the brain,and end up in the heart...
    When you read Qur'an everything falls in place and it opens your heart,and a light of truth enters through your eyes to the heart....And you end up in tears...It just touches your soul and when tou understand it,you are left with peace and a sense of satisfaction...

    Great reaction❤ 55:32 the list of the negative stuff is mentionned many times also and in different verses. It also gives you verses to protect yourself against these things like a shield. Prayer can be a form of manifestation if you ask things but also a form of being thankfull plus mindfull of Allah. Fasting is a purufication of the sinns (Although we always sinn and go back but repentence nd seeking forgiveness is always an important key during your prayers ) but also to be gratefull, to stand in solidarity with others and to build disciplined caracter. The bad things....Just an example the wispers (ego) of the jinn as we say...to do the opposite of these good deeds and the words of the angels to do good is like a test for us. But with our free will we have the ultimate choice. It is a constant battle between negative energy and positive energy. They the jinns are made out of the elements fire and air and we the inns are made out of earth and water. Angels out of light to bring you closer to God and follow his path.

    for showing this... This is very comforting and rational...
    Why didn't God create us as merciful, loving... etc. and be in heaven instead of experiencing suffering and pain and immersing ourselves in thinking and choosing on this earth?!!.. The answer is we will never be
    Compassionate, loving, tolerant...etc. Unless we suffer and think and have the freedom to choose, these are elements for our growth and development to deserve Paradise and closeness to Him.

    As human beings we need constant reminders. That's why you even have the 5 daily prater at dawn, afternoon evenings and night to maintain that connection with God and reach a higher spiritual perfection. You guys need to do a reaction video on the 5 daily prayers in Islam. Even with my Non Muslim friends who have tried it they report a feeling of peace, power and clarity of mind which they never knew was possible or even existed.

    The man on the left seemed to miss the point of the good qualities. The negatives are not attributed to God because God doesn't do evil. He gives some of his creation a moral choice and they commit evil.
    For example the angels that only following Gods command only goodness because they are not given free will so it's only Gods goodness being done through them. If they also done evil then you could attribute it to God but there is nothing evil that can be attributed to God.

  • @mahmoodb.179

    I respect so much how Justin was being very respectful to the audience and trying not to intimidate them when James was looking forward to know about the dark side of God’s attributes as he mentions. However, I actually validate James’s questioning about why Dr. Jeffrey did not mention the negative attributes of God (I seek refuge to God from saying that) because how can you understand things without asking questions, right? And my answer is because God is perfect, all good, and the source of all goodness. So, why should I worship a god that has negative attributes that may lead me to do negative things? If that was the case then he is not a god worth of worship.
    Dr. Jeffrey may had compared a relationship between a human and animal or an authorial human to another like father and daughter, but maybe he missed or forgot to mention that the relationship between a human (how authorial a human can be) and The Creator and is unique from any other relationships.
    The nature of human being when seeking help and support is always to seek from something/someone who is able to grant/give things he is not able to gain by himself. You can seek from a king but a king will eventually die. You can seek from the rich, they will also eventually die or lose their fortune. But to seek from The Almighty, The Creator, The Provider, The Sustainer (and the list of names and attributes goes on and on), you will never lose your way because you exactly know whom have your back and sustaining you to endure in this life. That’s the God that I want to worship, all perfect, no flaws, The Most Just, The Most Merciful. (If you want to know more about the names and attributes of Allah you can simply search it on google, that way you will understand to whom the Muslims are praying to and why).
    Thank you for reacting to this beautiful intellectual video. This maybe the 10th time of me watching Dr. Jeffry and each time I discover a new detail, knowing that I’m a born Muslim, it beats me in learning more and more every time I watch it.
