I know some people might not be religious and might find it offensive, but this is from a very honest place.
God helped me heal bro. I just came to a realisation that I’m actually limited as a human being, there’s much I can’t control, I make mistakes, and I will defo go through problems.
But through everything, it’s just a deep calmness I got in my heart now that someone who is bigger than all problems, has got my back, loves me and actually listens to me anytime I need to speak.

I love the fact that they are both so transparent and open up about their own lives and in the same breath attempt to inspire and give as much advice as they can on real topics/situations. - Like another lady said, these two should go to schools or be mentors to the young guys. - Excuse the essay, another great show!

I was introduced to y'all via the LinkUp content, but I'm grateful that I came across the channel (from NYC btw!). This is a VERY necessary conversation and only Black men can really have these convos. I sent this to every group chat with other guys that I'm in. To answer your question about what works, aside from just letting it out, working out and meditating helped A LOT during my lowest. This actually just put the battery in my back to get back into those routines, so thank you.
Side note: as a graphic designer, just knowing y'all need a logo isn't gonna be enough for designers to make something meaningful for your show and your brand; it's going to require a bit more of a conversation and process. If I come across any resources to help, I will DM or Tweet it to y'all.

I Thoroughly Enjoyed This Conversation!! It Was So Real. I Respected The Honesty & The Vulnerability Which Is So Rare To See From Young Black Men These Days Because Like You Said, They Have To Front It Out & Act Like All Is Well Even When They're Dying Inside! Men Like You Speaking Truth After Experience Is What Youth Need To Hear! Nuff Times They Don't Wanna Hear It From Parents Or Teachers Or Whatever Coz They Feel That They Don't Know About Their Struggle (Road Tingz) When You Said This Was "The Best Convo You Ever Had" I Felt That. As It Was Also Some Of The Best Reasoning I've Heard In A Long Time! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
There Is Something About The Way (Lippy & Also Castillo) Looks At Things From A Man's Woman's Even A Child's Point Of View, That I Find So Endearing! Keep Up The Good Work Kingz! 👑 🖤 👑 Blessed Love x

One of the best episodes. Big factor in people’s depression is social media and how it portays perfection. So many people compare themselves and become depressed. People forget it’s a virtual world and anybody can be anyone on here. Really have to look deep into yourself to heal, hit the bottom then bounce back. That’s how you really heal. You then start to notice and appreciate the ones who are there for you and you start to appreciate them more. Looking forward to the next episode👍🏾

When your doing road showing vulnerability isn’t an option so even to learn how to heal becomes a harder task than manoeuvring around opps.. generally speaking women heal by going through their emotions, men either ignore the issue or wild out.. as an example females get taught from young to embrace their emotions, men from young are told don’t cry your a big boy.. knowing how to heal effectively is emotional maturity..

awww Tricky I can relate to you sooo much. So much of what you said resonates. My son & daughter help me through the healing process without them even knowing. They are 17 now & if it wasn't for them I don't think I could have made it here to 36. Being a single mum I never had time to heal from childhood experiences, relationships etc etc but since 2019 I've been on a self healing journey because despite my pain I know I am a Spiritual Warrior! When Boris said "Lockdown" I was elated because I knew it was my time to heal through the power of The Most High & I couldn't do that with the world around me so loud in my head, so I completely understand how you felt. It's so true, other people couldn't handle being on their own, in their own space, being alone because they was afraid of their own mind but I believe that so many people who understand the Power of the Most high overstood what quiet time (Lockdown) meant for them & used it to their advantage like we did. I'm not religious but I do believe in The Most High, so this is not about me following a religion, it's just about me sharing my own experience & knowing that I'm a spiritual Being in the midst of my darkest hours. Blessings to you both. People if you need somewhere to turn too when you need someone to just listen to you, if things get too much then you can contact Samaritans on: 02083686789 Please don't feel less of a man or a woman asking for help because there are people out there who care. I'm not a qualified counsellor but currently studying, so if you want someone to just listen to you, you can always send me your email on here & I'll try & do my best to assist you or give you advice where appropriate. I’ve been through my own mental health issues past couple years , lost my older brother couple years ago (he would of loved this podcast btw aswell , wish he got a chance to see it ) , only a year or so after it happened is when I started getting anxiety and depression symptoms, I knew there was a problem .
Before that I guess I was just blocking stuff out , pushing it to the back of my mind like you guys said .
I’m the kind of person I find it hard to share my problems , only my mrs and couple close friends know some of the issues I’ve had .
Not told my brothers ,parents etc .
Dont wanna worry any one with it and just feel uncomfortable speaking about it aswell .

Big Up to both of you man... today i really needed this episode. For me, making music is one of the ways I release my emotions. Any creative outlet is good for that, and I think creative outlets should be taught it school. Some other things I do is meditate and yoga. It’s important to do things that make you face your issues and not mask it... and for me weed and booze just mask my issues. For the last month I’ve stopped all intoxicants and i’m really noticing how much i used those things as a crutch for my depression. Just wanted to thank you for this episode... Respect from Vancouver, Canada 🙏🏾👊🏾

Only TIME and acknowledging your faults and not living in denial will heal you. Exercise and music can help to an extent. All it takes is one sad depressing tune on the radio can trigger off memories. Also taking yourself out your environment and finding a new positive circle does help.

The thing that helped me the most, and still helps more than any activity I tried was talking to somebody.
The issue was finding somebody to listen

There's no better healing than going bk to ur creator forehead on floor and asking for forgiveness nd help. That's the only effective healing.. if u know then u know.

True healing comes within no matter where you were hurt. So it's important to learn exactly how to deal with your emotions and problems effectively to produce the results you want and need...true or what are your thoughts?

Easy to say but when the male psyche and road life collide, it takes time to untangle your feelings and find coping mechanisms that you may never have been taught. It's tough out there for men(and women obvs) there's a reason male suicide is so much higher than female suicide

My thoughts exactly, true healing definitely comes from deep within but in all honesty in order to heal in these western times we have to start to abandon the western ways of doing things, this western way of living is what's killing us especially us a black people.
We need to abandon western principles and western ideologies full stop. One has to go through wholesome healing and go through a series of personal development and constantly work on yourself and take accountability for your actions in order to grow and heal at the same time.
