As for Harvey’s teeth, it’s an old Japanese custom to blacken or paint your teeth to show Ohaguro - To Japanese eyes black teeth were beautiful, like shiny black lacquerware, smooth and perfect and blemish free. Black teeth were a mark of sexual maturity and all women, from samurai to farmers, blackened their teeth the moment they got married. Even though Harvey’s were red. The same explanation can be given. Since this MV highlights them as “dolls” hence the bridal veils and their fits. Also if you guys haven’t heard. There was a debate about the lyrics of the song. But to me and the rest of the men population agrees that the message is not about treating men in a low or bad light. The song is just highlighting the inequality of society. Be it in the music industry in general and in everyday life.
