Many countries were spending 50% of their economies on war in the past. Britain spent 70% during WWII. Today we spend only about 7% so times are nowhere near as bad to day as they were in the past. History is littered with wars, epidemics, famines, and degenerate self serving leaders. Life hasn't changed at all, and neither will it. It is just that social and mainstream media delivers stories of buses plunging off bridges in India, to you every minute of the day, when you really don't need to know all this crap.
