Looking forward to this film. The culmination of 12 years for Cameron will make this a special film. And potentially build an amazing sci fi franchise. I’ll admit I had my doubts though over the years. But I have faith that it’ll be special.
I thought that this would be important information to share, given the ocean-related nature of this movie. 35% of all ocean microplastics come from clothing/textiles, mostly polyester, but also acrylic and nylon as well. This is largely due to clothes made of these materials being washed, which causes these clothes to quickly erode, with the microplastic fibers entering the water system and eventually the sea. Ocean Hero is a great search engine that we can use to help clean up larger plastics before they disintegrate into microplastics.
Avatar: The Way Of Water Non-Spoiler Review I have no words James Cameron did it again avatar the way of water was visually stunning the scenery of the forest and ocean beaches. the story was emotionally captivating the high attention to detail in the story, scenery and wildlife complemented each other. The action scenes were fluid it made sense with the story and didn't go too over-the-top or overpower the story. the 3D wasn't too in your face and very subtle at key parts and moments of the film which enhanced the VFX and emotional impact of the story and scenery. We get to see a new side in Jake Sully he is now a father and protector for his family he's more emotionally tied to do whatever it takes to keep his family safe from the looming threat that's to come. James Cameron has successfully told the story of avatar 2 the visuals, VFX and the story was emotionally craving I'm looking forward to what is next with this franchise. I rarely give movies a perfect score earned its right 5 out of 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
James Cameron is the master of 3D cinematography and Avatar is the purest and simplest example of his craft. Aliens is one of the most complex examples. The Way of Water is going to be the Empire Strikes Back of the Avatar franchise. I'm glad you can appreciate how the landscapes help create this immersive experience. That's one step closer to figuring out what makes James Cameron movies so great.
I come direct out of the cinema! I can only say: WOW !!! WHAT AN INCREDIBLE RIDE !!! The absolute best BLOCKBUSTER this year! THIS movie came from another Planet 😉 Greetings from germany. I See you!
Can't wait to see this! The visuals are about to go crazy! Re-watched the first one in the cinemas about 2 months ago to prepare myself for the second one and I forgot how mesmerizing and dazzling the first film was but the second one looks like it will top the first one when it comes to visuals (obviously).
Same... but it's the only film to watch in 3D because JC is a master.. it's not gimmicky 3D but highly immersive and it draws you into the world of Pandora... going to be crazy especially the underwater stuff!
I saw Avatar in 3d with my dad when I was 9. My dad passed away in 2020 and he enjoyed it a lot so I'm going to see this because I really enjoyed Avatar and I'm gonna see it in 3d. Might regret it, especially when wearing glasses but knowing James Cameron when it comes to these movies I have no choice but to see it in 3d. Loved to review.
The Avatar is wet. My favorite of his might be "Titanic", the scene with the musicians playing on the mini-boat is quite memorable. I'm debating about seeing this film unfortunately I'll need to book a sitter so I probably won't see it opening weekend. Glad the villian actor from the 1st film is returning, I liked his outlandish character quite a lot.
I’ve booked in for Dolby 3-D as well but I’m half worried about it because my little sister is coming too and she’s never actually watched a film in 3-D before. I also didn’t like the 3-D experience when it came out years ago. Avatar was probably the first time I watched a movie in 3-D in the theatre and again in regular 2-d and I preferred the 2-d The last film I watched in 3-d was Rogue One and we walked out after 10 minutes and got our money back and swapped up for the 2-D showing because we were that sick of 3-D
I was watching a lot of reviews and i noticed a lot of people boarding the hate train. Im glad you didn´t, cheers and i send you a big hug from argentina
I recently saw this movie in 3D 4DX in theaters. If you haven't seen a movie in this setting you are missing out. Graphically it was spectacular and amazing, but story wise it was meh. I wasn't in aw as I had expected to be. The storyline didn't capture me, I didn't get effected emotionally and some stuff was just forcefully rushed into the storyline. Some things were incoherent to the main story, other things were just straight up questionable or cringe. Without spoiling. They are exiled and have joined another clan in order to stay safe. Which predictably doesn't happen afcourse. They suddenly have a lot of children with way out there background stories, without there being to much explaning on the who, what and why. There are children with grown up voices. Mid movie there is a sudden storyline shift. From Jake Sully being hunted to suddenly having poachers hunting giant fish for a bodily substance that can stop the aging process. That part of the story lacks more elaborate explaining in my opinion. I can't help but feel disappointed. Especially after seeing Wakanda Forever which was so fucking good.
yes!! the world building and visuals were freaking amazing! cant top that, but i hated the movie. all character development from the first was gone. Neytiri was a only mother that only listened to Jake. Jake somehow forgot what humans could do and thought that fleeing was an option? the kids were so annoying, only one i liked was Kiri, but yes, she sounded like a 40 year old. big dissapointment and dont think i will watch the next movies
i just switched from regular to 3d. i moved from 6 pm to 3pm on this thursday and the price of the ticket actually went down $1 so a win win. can't wait. i'm kind of weird, i like visuals just as much or usually more than the story so i expect to love this movie. great review.
Loved this movie, better than the first and one of the best of the year. Screenplay was simple but everything else was amazing. I agree I didn’t want to follow the kids throughout the movie at the beginning but as the movie went on I was wanting to follow them more than the adults
T2: Judgment Day, obviously. The original Avatar proved just how little “good” cgi matters to me. It’s icing, nothing more, which simply can’t turn a sand cake into German chocolate no matter how good it is.
I thought the Paykan would lead the army of Tulkun's in the climax and make them remember to kill & not always defend and this whole dynamic of it with the Metakayina clan, but this all was not even addressed in the climax
I saw it yesterday in 3D 4DX and afterwards I thought that Wakanda forever was way better. Is that awful to say? I turned off the water option on my seat. I got f*cking soaked every time that fountain went of, which was more than normal for this movie, like every 10 seconds at one point.(3D 4DX) Henry Cavill has been fired as Superman, true or false?
Hey Austin! I really enjoyed the new Avatar! I agree one of the best things I have seen in 3D and I don’t like 3D either. I thought the main plot was pretty run of the mill but overall really enjoyed it. Always watch you and Stuckmann first after seeing a movie.
#AvatarTheWayOfWater is a surprisingly great sequel to the original film. Does a better job with the story this time around and the characters have more to chew on this time around. The visuals and technology here is nothing short of breathtaking and the technical aspects are absolutely magnificent here from cinematography and score here. I also appreciate the themes of protecting the ocean, keeping your family safe and the cycle of violence (which is always interesting to see). Acting is strong especially from the new actors here. There are some new characters who get underused, the ending isn't fully satisfying, some story developments isn't complete and the film is 192 minutes too long. But it's way better than the first one. Favorite Cameron film is Ghost Protocol
The 1st avatar is in full 16x9 ratio though so the 3D was such a huge hit for home theater owners. Way of the water used 21:9 so u'll see black bars on your 4K TVs.
Cannot wait, I go to watch this on Thursday! This is probably going to ruin IMAX 3D for me since I doubt I’ll see anything this good in that format for a very long time 😂
I started to believe the negativity! OMG this movie was so good! Blew my mind🤯 I do not know how you could not like this movie? Had a good story the 3-D was 8K Crystal clear! And the action was on another level! Maverick an avatar 2 are the best movies I've seen in a long long long long time! See this movie!
Im so sad, i was so ready for another avatar. ive seen the first one i think more then 15 times. ive bought tickets for theater and i was sooooooo bored. i hated it so much... yeah the visuals were really pretty, but that was it. i loved the story of the first one but this didnt have one. all character development from the first movie were just thrown away.. the kids were annoying as hell, the villain was the same as the first one. i dont get how this gets such a good score.
I am so excited to see this that the only tickets I could get on opening night is at 11:30pm and I have work the next day at 6am. So that should be a fun night
Wait, I’m not that knowledgeable on frame rate so I just need someone to explain. How would a higher frame rate look weird for a movie? Wouldn’t everything flow smoother?
Movements and motion might look uncanny feeling. It would not feel normal. Doing simple motions would be extremely quick leading it to the footage look weird. Its like interpolation
Avatar 2 suggested to me that James Cameron is similar to CB DeMille but without the subtlety. Where Mr. DeMille used religiosity to justify showing the joys of debauchery, Cameron employs a “woke” “green” ethos to justify reveling in guns, tanks, and destruction. The other thing I found both offensive and hilarious about this bloated comic book of a movie is that despite the advanced technology allowing for cloning, space travel, and ugly-cute sentient whales it all comes down to those machine guns, tanks, and hand to hand combat. Ironically, with all its technical tricks and marvels, the plot on which it all hangs is trite and hackneyed - the performances dead on arrival. Within the first half hour of this 3 hour bomb I simply opted out of the goings on and watched the special effects. After another half hour, even those began to repeat and wilt. If you want to be dazzled and stimulated by “World Building” science fiction, watch “Metropolis” from 1927.
I would say just great screen/sound in general. I can’t speak for then on-3D version because I haven’t seen it yet, but I would say it works well on a nice screen.’
