@@srthebox4946 They dont struggle, when its ONE car on the ideal racing line. Also the circuit would have to be ruined in order to become FIA Grade 1. Its just not feasable.
At Leman there is a garage that is for a test division. It was used last year by Jenson Button in a NASCAR CUP car. And i said i would love to see a F1 car. Long straights and lots of power would make a great F1 race like the old Holkenheim from the 90's when they went through the woods.
Tried this once in but in the previous cars (The fastest widebois in history before the 2021 nerf as they were the only ones I had) and there is something unusually terrifying about going just fully flatout in the curves. Its fun going full throttle onto the Tetre Rouge and making those big dives into Indianapolis but the Porsche Curves are just scary to fly through with no brakes (and no, I did NOT downshift). The grip is incredible but outright insane. Compared to taking the Prototypes around that place, an F1 car is pure insanity.
Jimmy mate you don't know me but you inspired me to make a you tube channel in 2017. Well done for your growth. I love the fact that you've proved that simracers can be good real racing drivers 👏 👌
I ran a bunch of GT3s around here with AI and I've noticed if the field's even enough it has a weird pack racing vibe, interspersed by intense braking zones and a variety of corners, almost none of which are taken the same way as another. Still my favorite circuit in the 20 or so years I've known about it Edit: The Formula Gran Turismo in GTPSP of all things, favorite memory running through the Porsche curves cuz it's basically flat until the final left
I dont think the current regs with DRS the way it is would work, 1 detection zone before the streight, passing the car infront and having a 7 second advantage by the end. the 2026 cars where the DRS is available everywhere as long as the driver is on full throttle, and we instead get push to pass when within 1 second of the car in front would actually work i think
I’d love to see an F1 car in the 24 hour race. The modifications they’d have to do to the car alone would be fascinating to see, it’d be wild to see where it’d end up

If you're doing F1 at Le Mans, it SHOULD be a bit of an endurance race. Currently the fewest laps is run at Spa, which is 44 laps. 44 laps at Le Mans would be 600 km. That's around twice the length of a normal F1 track, so .. yeah, 44 laps would already be an endurance race at close to 4 hours. If you want to make it even more fun, you have two visits to Le Mans. The most laps is at Monaco with 78 laps. 78 laps at Le Mans would be 1,062 km and be close to 7 hours.
@@agenthoini Could be. I was basing it off the average length and duration of F1 circuits, which is ~310 km and 2 hours. But unless an F1 car kan keep an average speed of 300 km/h, it's not completing 44 laps of Le Mans in 2 hours - as I said, that's a 600 km race. F1 is fast, but I doubt it's 70 km/h average faster than the Le Mans prototypes. As you said, they need the engine to not blow up. They also don't want the gearbox to blow up. Neither of which is achieved by doing 300 km/h average for two hours straight. We also don't know what kind of limitations would be in place. They would obviously need more fuel, but how much more? 2x? 1.5x?
@@MrMartinSchou 2 hours isnt exactly an average f1 race either, its the absolute maximum possible.
